grandpa's quick rescue of grandson just as he was about to tumble into a newly dug hole by the roadside....
These two Great Blue Herons were working together to finish their nest. It was quite the sight to see one of the herons flying back and forth with nesting material as the other took it from its bill and placed it where necessary. I really like how their position makes out the shape of a heart. This image was made at Wakodahatchee Wetlands in Delray Beach, Florida using the Nikon 200-500 F/5.6.
I believe that bag in the foreground is needlework while he is seriously :-) studying the water for fish.

Launching a heavy boat from high sand. 10 minutes was all it took, industrial electric conduit piping used under the boat to give leverage.
