Another dainty teacup that belonged to my mother-in-law. It is marked "Crown Royal Bone China, England". I could visualise it containing an informal flower arrangement, so I set about capturing my idea. I'm not much of a flower arranger, but I like how it came out.
Built by the late Gordon Webb, B71 is now owned by DVR and carries the Vicrail Teacup Livery. It is seen here with Jess Dalton at the controls.

A friend of mine works at REI, where they have recently started a book club, and he asked if i would make some cookies for their first meeting:-) The book they are discussing is "Three Cups of Tea" and if youre not familiar with the book, the title comes from the proverb: "The first cup of tea, you are a stranger; the second cup, a friend; and the third cup, you are family."
My friend had requested 2 dozen cookies in the shapes of teacups and the REI logo. Keeping the title of the book in mind, i thought it would be appropriate to make three different patterns for the teacups:-)
One of the rules of sucessful baking (or anything really) is not to try anything new when you're tired.
I thought teacup shaped cookies would be cute for the supper after our bookstudy tonight. I didn't have a teacup shape cutter though so I had to make my own template.
Not awful, but I really should have stuck to something I know I make well!
This is a birthday gift for a friend who likes miniatures. I thought I would combine her love of vintage china, sewing and miniatures and make a Hat Pincushion. She will have to provide the hat pins as I haven't been able to find any since the lockdown.
I hand painted and decorated the fabric and then added purchased miniature flowers.
