Jim Malone was born in 1946 in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. He took a three-year teachers training course in North Wales and then studied ceramics at Camberwell School of Arts. He emerged with a first class honours degree and he then spent a summer at Winchcombe Pottery studying under Ray Finch.
He opened his first studio in 1976 at Llandegla near Wrexham, North Wales, where he stayed for six years. He was artist in residence at Cardiff College of Art in 1980 before moving to Cumbria in 1982 to teach at the Cumbria College of Art in Carlisle with Mike Dodd. In 1984 he set up a new studio at Ainstable, Cumbria, where he stayed until 2002. He then moved to Burnby near York where he stayed until 2006 when he moved again to set up his present studio at Lessonhall, Cumbria.
Jim is a potter of considerable importance and a genuine individualist. He has said of his work "I am not affected by current 'trends' and I avoid gimmicks. I have never felt the need to spread myself any wider, only to delve deeper".
Jim Malone has exhibited widely in this country as well as America, Germany and Hong Kong. He is included in the British Craft Council's index of selected craftsmen and is a Fellow of the Craftsman Potters Association of Great Britain. Malone's work is held in important British collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, the Museum and Art Gallery collections at Bolton, York, Liverpool, Paisley and Glasgow as well as in the Crafts Council Collection and the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge.

The Joanes family had close links with Dr Ribeiro Goan School in Nairobi. Martha went on to do her A-Levels at Duke of Gloucester School. Following her Teachers Training Course in Nairobi, she taught at St. Theresa’s School and a Convent School in Kilungu, Kenya. Martha finished her undergraduate Accounting degree from Golden Gate University San Francisco, California then completed a master’s degree in Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. Martha went on to serve in various government appointments as well as various teaching posts, finishing as a Senior Financial Auditor in the Department of Education for Contra Costa County, California. Martha also completed her vows for lay Carmelite nun in her last years and will be buried in the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites (OCDS).

The opening ceremony of fresh batch of 200 hr. yoga TTC students took place at the premises of AYM Yoga School in Upper Tapovan, Rishikesh. All new students were full of energy and participated in the yagna with great vigor. Some of them even tried to chant certain mantras, used during the yagna to appease gods. During the ceremony, they were told about importance of various mantras and why they are used.

During the Teacher Training Course with Maharishi in the Academy of Meditation Shankaracharya Nagar in Rishikesh at the end of 1969, a course that included many of the greatest luminaries of the Movement, the course participants asked Maharishi if the famous recluse saint Tat Wala Baba could come to visit the course, as had happened in previous courses. Tat Wala Baba was living in a cave about three miles up in the hills behind our Academy.
It was his custom to only come out once a day for one hour to let visitors enjoy his darshan. There was a lean-to just below his cave for this purpose.
He was a very powerful man, very muscular like a wrestler, with matted hair that fell all the way to the ground. Maharishi said of him that he seemed to be in a good state of Unity Consciousness.

ACCOMMODATION
We offer both shared and private rooms. For private rooms, you need to pay extra.
To make our students feel comfortable during their stay, we do our best to offer them this comfort. In the rooms, hot and cold water, and wifi facilities are available.
Extra Cost for Private Room: In addition to your course fee, you should pay 100 USD extra.
FOOD
We serve vegetarian food. According to the needs of our students, we also serve gluten-free and vegan food. However, if you have any specific conditions with the food such as food allergies, etc., we will be happy to prepare special food for you if you inform us in advance.
3 meals are served in a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food menu is prepared by taking into consideration balanced nutrition needs.
