(Mayor) Drapeau street, A Casse Croute Marché, A tax and document service catering to the Haitian community, an ice cream parlour a Montreal balcony with bicycles stored on it.. all that's missing is a winding staircase and someone walking by munching on a fresh bagel carrying a hockey bag..

Lady Liberties are popping up all over Phoenix advertising Liberty Tax Service. Putting the words "liberty" and "tax" next to each other has always seemed an oxymoron to me, since liberty is often squelched by taxation.
On another note, take a look at the price of diesel (this picture taken on March 4th, 2011). Filling our diesel pickup isn't getting any easier, that's for sure.

Something to break the monotony ....we were doing our evening bike ride and this member of the laboring force had a wonderful job. For hours he stood here waving this sign advertising a Tax Service in the little shopping center. He graciously let me take his picture with ear phones in and large brown tennis shoes under his gown.
It's just a job that I might not relish, but he had a smiley face.

Shopping center located across from the Fox Meadows Shopping center in East Memphis. This property was the front lawn of The Presbytery of Memphis, transferred along with the building (still behind this one) in October of 1985 it appears to shopping center developers, with the shopping center itself being built well over a year later. Curiously, it defies the odds, as most everything else built with the word "Square" in it is either gone or struggling these days!

The building glued to the back of the old Shell (ARCO?) is in much better shape than the station itself, but I didn't care to patronize any of the businesses! Maybe some other time? Nah! What's apparent here is the brickwork was definitely painted over, and the original color looks much more like ARCO than Shell. As you can imagine, there are no old property records for any of this stuff online.

Apparently, this sign painter has some sort of OCD about punctuating even sentence fragments on signs with periods.
