I followed the track past the side of West Mill Tor and spotted this building off to the right and decided to go and take a closer look at it. It turned out to be part of a target railway for moving target shooting practice.
This was in a room off the pistol firing range, along with several body-shaped targets. Fort Ord. This is in East Garrison, an older part of the fort in use since 1917.

was in atlanta today for a photo shoot. and I'm taking a break from editing some other work I have and looked at these for a few minutes. I think these will turn out pretty well.

We are at the Midland Game & Country Fair - an annual event that focuses on traditional countryside practices.
Its not an event that I feel totally at ease with, we aren't countryside people, we are urbanites (I think) - but we own a young dog that happens to be a Gun Dog. Although still under training, he is rather good at the skills of retrieval on land and on water. This is why we are here.
At this traders stand you can try out their archery equipment - complete with some interesting targets. So that's why they became extinct.
Note the concentric target rings of each of the creatures.

La Cattedrale di Trani (conosciuta anche come Duomo di Trani e, talvolta, come Cattedrale di San Nicola Pellegrino) è la costruzione più prestigiosa della città pugliese. Si tratta di un esempio di architettura romanica pugliese. La sua costruzione è legata alle vicende di San Nicola Pellegrino, svoltesi durante l'epoca della dominazione normanna.
È stata costruita usando il materiale di tufo calcareo tipico della zona: si tratta della pietra tranese estratta dalle cave della città , caratterizzata da un colore roseo chiarissimo, quasi bianco.
La chiesa si distingue per il suo vistoso transetto e per l'uso dell'arco a sesto acuto nel passaggio situato sotto il campanile, fenomeno non molto diffuso nell'architettura romanica.
Il tempio è sede della cattedra dell'arcivescovo di Trani-Barletta-Bisceglie.
