Even though this is "my" Target and I've been here a million times in the past, I never cared about getting photos of the inside until recently. The other Williamsburg location is still undergoing its' renovation, so who's to say this one won't be getting altered soon as well? The store still looks as it did back when it opened, but since my last visit here they added a few self-checkout lanes, which is just fine. I just hope that if a remodel does occur that they don't ditch the Pizza Hut, because those personal pans have made for many great lunches!
The first Target flexible format store to open in Manhattan is in the Tribeca neighborhood (TriBeCa stands for the "Triangle Below Canal" street.) The store is 45,000 sq. ft on 2 levels and is situated at the base of a rather ugly 10-story office building. It's located in the middle of a mixed residential and commercial neighborhood.
The store is awkwardly laid out due to the small space and extreme expense of operating in this, the most expensive neighborhood in Manhattan. As you enter on the small ground level, there is a large Chobani-branded cafe, some selected home and apparel products, as well as the online pickup counter. Most of the store is located in the basement, where rents are cheaper. Checkouts are in the lower level, so after you pay, you have to take the escalator up to exit the store. This may seem strange for most suburban Targets, but New Yorkers are used to this type of setup.
Within the past year, three Target flex stores (as well as one full-line location) have opened within NYC, with 4 more planned over the next 12 months. With Walmart basically locked out by the city council from building any stores within the New York City borders, Kmart and Target have the city to themselves (along with the many smaller, local discounters).
This is the Target store at 2905 District Ave Ste 400, Fairfax, VA in the Mosaic District shopping center.
This store is situated on top of a three story parking garage, almost an identical layout to the Grundy Walmart.
P97 lookTarget #1215 (122,824 square feet)
240 Market Drive, Midway Market Square, Elyria, OH
Opened October 10th, 1999
One of my main destinations of this trip was Elyria's Target. I don't document Target salesfloors very often, but I had to make an exception here: aside from a few alterations this place still looks like it did back in 1999! It's one of very, very few stores left in the country with the P97 look, meaning that neon squiggles line the walls of the entire salesfloor and bold-font department signage hangs from the ceiling throughout the store. These features are color-coded blue, yellow, green, and red based on which department they're in. The only real sense of modernization here is the in-store pharmacy converted to a CVS and the former café area walled-off for order pickup. This store is so unchanged that they don't even have any self-checkout lanes! Layout is similar to most other 1990s Targets, with the entrance on the left side of the building, clothing in the building's back left corner, pet care/toys/sporting goods along the back wall, grocery along the right wall, electronics in the front right corner, and housewares/baby products in the middle of the salesfloor. I haven't been inside of a P97 Target in person since Hampton back in February 2009, so I'm super grateful to have had the opportunity to pay this store a visit. The only other P97 Target I know of within a reasonable distance of me is in Aiken, SC, and I hope to someday walk their salesfloor as well!
Target announced that it would be trimming its fleet of stores by 13. This will take place at the end of January 2016. The Anderson IN location is one of the locations slated for closure. The Anderson store originally opened as an Ayr-Way store and was converted to a Target in 1981 when Target acquired the chain. The complete list of stores closing are as follows.

The Olympus Four-Thirds DSLRs have had a bit of retro-popularity lately, mostly due to the cachet of the Kodak CCD sensors. The Evolt E-500 is not as unique as the E-300 and lacks the IBIS of the E-510, but it's a fun camera to play with. And, for what it's worth, it shares the same Kodak sensor.

Vader was annoyed at Tubby Trooper's new un-imperial haircut (and his consistent lack of fitness) so decided that he should be the one to have the apple on his head for today's target practice session.

This 145,712 square foot Target prototype store was opened on October 8, 2008. The first level is the store's parking lot and the second level is the store itself. Another nearby Target store closed in 2011. A car sales lot was previously located here.

These must of been for individual sale, hence the asinine nutrition label on each bottle! Nutrition!? It's a freakin' bottle of fizzy sugar water, it's not meant to be nutritious! Nostalgia ruined by our overreaching government and the FDA. The FDA demands ignorant rules such as this, then works with China to show them how to manufacture American-made products, and at the same time lets drugs go to market with side effects including "death", and "suicidal thoughts and actions". Is it any wonder why middle America is fed up with our government today!?
Target Shopping Center early Saturday morning during our eh snow storm. Used my truck lights on high beams to paint the sidewalk balls moving the lights with each bracket. 5 exposures 1/2 stop apart photomatix. Also new firmware upgrade so hopefully the noise banding issue is gone.

The original snack bar was located here when the store opened in October 1997, at the time featuring Pizza Hut Express and Taco Bell Express. During the store's 2008 renovation it was redone with Starbucks replacing Taco Bell and opened that October. For the spring 2021 renovation Pizza Hut Express and the snack bar were replaced with a self-serve station, which still features products from both at certain times of the day.
