1960s high tech! A compact cassette for music. Developed in 1963 by Philips of The Netherlands. Made music truly portable and personal.
Here the 3.8mm wide iron oxide coated tape streams over a plastic foam pad. The pad presses the tape against the record/playback head.
Macro Monday
Theme: Wavy Lines
Size:Less than 3x3 inches
The subject is a dress making measuring tape on its side.
I placed the tape on a glass petri dish and tip it at an angle.
I then placed a LED torch light under the Petri dish which is secured by " blue tack "
I placed a yellow cloth beneath the dish on the left side and a bluish plastic bag on the right for the background colours.
The other light source is natural light at 4 o'clock.
Many thanks for your visit, comments and faves...it is always appreciated.

My tiny 2-1/4 x 2-1/4-inch duck, has a 60 inch tape measure inside his little body. He is cute and handy. HMM!
Shot for Macro Mondays #BackInTheDay theme. When I was first got into music, this was the main medium for music. I remember spending hours recording the radio and making my own mix tapes. I don't miss that process.
Thanks for viewing and HMM!
Macro Mondays' weekly theme is: tape.
This is a measuring tape I've used for 20-30 years of sewing. Its wear and tear are showing in the photo.
This is for Macro Mondays' theme: wrapping--things necessary to wrap a gift. Tape is usually essential.
