After the rainstorm today, this little bird came by to take a dip in the birdbath.

In a book by Luc Choquer called 'Portrait de Francais' (French Portraits), I came across the following statement:

We built a pond and little creek in our backyard - its' amazing how many birds are attracted - especially in hot weather, to take a bath

the vet showed me how to open their beaks and made it look very easy. I have completely failed to repeat the maneuverer so before I traumatized them any more I tried mixing it with their favorite foods - works like a charm

Possibly the best set-up experience I’ve ever run through for any piece of technology. Worked exactly as the simple instructions said, helpful person on the speaker. Even really nice sounds. (Alert pendant and base station for elderly people.)

Taking a walk down my street on a foggy morning is a most pleasurable experience.

 

It's under these conditions that you see hundreds of spider webs covered in dew, but not a spider to be seen.
