In support of the Inspire Foundation and to help raise funds and awareness for the prevention of suicide and improvement of mental health and well being in men, the "Man Book" was launched today. Put together by the very inspiring Mark Pollard and Gavin Heaton, the book titled The Perfect Gift for a Man â 30 Stories about Reinventing Manhood, focuses on the stories of 30 contributors on topics such as respect, fragility and loss. Although I didn't manage to write anything for the book, I was honoured to play a part through my contribution as a photographer. 2 images, destined to spend the rest of their lives on my hard drive, were given life and purpose again through use on the front cover and within the book! For more information on the book, head to http://www.theperfectgiftforaman.com.au/ or you can support the Inspire Foundation by buying an

My last day in Shizuoka, I went up to a mountain top golf course. WIth blistering winds, I felt like my hands were going to fall off it was so cold. Was a great view though.
75/365. No really, you tell *me* what's going on.
Seriously, if you can explain what's going on in this picture, props to you. This was one of those spur of the moment / get up on a chair / point the camera at the people kind of shot. It was also the first time I had mounted my flash to my camera in quite a while, and it kinda felt good to be a little lazy. Braden (the man pictured front and left) helped me as a light assistant for the day. He's totally awesome.
strobist info: Nikon SB-900 on good 'ol classic bounce pointing straight up mounted go camera (sorry, no off camera fun-ness today) @ 1/2 power with CTO gel.
The Origins of the Norwegian Forest Cat are not entirely clear, but it is known that the vikings established trade routes with Turkey, and Norwegian cats show some coat colors that are common in Turkey but rare elsewhere. The Turkish Angora could certainly have given the Norwegian cat its longhaired coat.Others believe that the Norwegian is descended from the Siberian in nearby Russia, which also has a dense, long coat.
The Norwegian Forest Cat is a large, sturdy animal, with a water-repellent coat designed to withstand long, cold winters. It is a good climber and hunter, but loves to be around people and is good with children and other household pets.Outdoor cats shed their woolly undercoat in spring,at which point they need plenty of grooming to remove loose hairs. The coat comes in a wide range of colors and patterns.
Alternative Names : Norsk Skaukatt;Skogkatt;Wegie

Sometimes comparative architecture makes me wonder. But then there is a stonking great air handler next to the tower on top of the near building, so...it's whatever you can manage, really.
