After arriving at New Delhi, we slept for a few hours at the airport before heading to Guwahati in Assam (N-E India) with the Himalaya mountain range visible in the distance.
The visit to Guwahati was limited to 1 day, visiting the Assam National Museum and Temple of Kamakhya during the last days of the monsoon period. The next day we left already and we crossed the Bhramaputra river north to the Bhutan border to start our visit to the kingdom of Bhutan .
Bhutan to New Delhi We left Bhutan in Phuntsholing crossing the border with India and we headed for the airport of Bagdagra.
For sure a few hours to remember. At the end of the day we arrived again in New Delhi for 2 additional days in India.
Our first day in New Delhi was used for a citytour. Along all the sites and sounds from traffic, we visited some historic places like the Jama Masjid Mosque, Humayun's tomb, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib temple, India Gate and the Raj Ghat park, with the marble platform that marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.
On our last day, A very early departure for a 5 hour drive over the Yamuna Express way to Agra.
Visiting one of the 7 current World Miracles and the Unesco World Heritage site Taj Mahal temple, Agra Fort and also a brief visit the Little Taj Mahal temple.

I need a little pick me up this afternoon, so I went to Ft DeSoto. I was hoping to see the reddish egrets again but I had to settle for this beautiful spoonbill. I had to chase it around where I could get the sunset light and the spoonie didn't hang out very long. I would love to get a nice and sharp head shot of this bird... Yeah, right!

A holiday that stood for while in the balance as heavy rainfall washed away the access railway to Machu Picchu.
Twoo before the holiday the volcano on Iceland erupted and airtravel was suspended.
We were on the second flight out to Lima after the airspace was cleared.
Day 1 in Lima started off with Citytour including Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral and Miraflores beach.
For the evening we made an additional visit to The Magic Water tour at Parque de Reserva. The Park is currently the world record holder for the largest fountain complex in the world, consisting of 13 distinct fountains, many of which are interactive.
Day 2 Leaving Lima for a Ballestas Islands with its birds, Penguin and seal Colonies.
Total contrast was our next visit to Ica . stopover at the Oasis of Huacachina. A Blue lagoon surrounded by huge desert sand dunes.
The days ends near Nazca, were we could some of the famous Nazca Lines from a watch tower.
Day 3 Started with a flight over the difficult to spot Nazca Lines . The afternoon was spent at the Chauchilla ancient Inca Cemetry.

They asked me for a photo of something which is important for me.
At first you will probably see nothing more than a tube. It's blue and yellow.
If you hear, that there is a salve (a cough mixture) in it - it will always be nothing more than a tube.
So let me tell you a little story.
Many years ago I had a bad cold and my boyfriend brought me this little tube, a tissue box, some fruits and so on.
Doing little things instead of speechify - his way to show me his love. One more reason for me to love him.
(By the way - a few times he brought flowers too.)
A few months later this man died.
This small tube is one of some things I save in a box.
For me it's more than a tube. It is part of a memory. And it reminds me of enjoying each day.

Now we all know and love ( some hate ) Haven Iris Foster. One of Fate's best models, and host of The Inside Scoop Haven is well known. What we didn't know is that she has a younger sister who looks just like her! Being only 16, Sky Foster is a younger version of her older sister.
"Ugh! It's the one younger sibling you never want the world to know. It's awful! Look! She has the hair style I had a few months ago when I last saw her! Okay so it's a bit short but still! She is always copping me, I swear-"Haven cuts her self short as she did a quick glance at her sister. She quickly turned from Gail back to Sky. "Are those my earrings that great-Nana Jones gave me?"
