1: I love cats and I pretty much have an obsession with them. When I was little I used to pretend I could talk to them and I would make weird noises at them and they would come to me. I think they're adorable and I want 73 when I grow up.

2: I love rain, except when it rains for a week or two straight....which happens a lot here.

3: I'm a sucker for an accent... English, Australian, Southern... I love 'em all.

4: A lot of people think my younger sister is older than me. :[

5: I like to pretend I'm ghetto. I get pretty into it sometimes.

6: My favorite smells include: springtime, the air before it rains, the air after it rains, gasoline, my basement, the mothball-y smell of my car, old books and other old things.

Gift tags - I white heat-embossed the Fabulous Patterns stamp from the Basic Grey/Hero Arts Picadilly line, onto some patterned paper (both the red and green are from the Hello Luscious 6x6 pad), and punched it with a 2.5" circle punch to make a pretty ornament. I added some green Distress Stickles to the green ornament, and some Dimensional Pearls to the red, just for some shine. 1.I hate having my picture taken so it was EXTREMELY hard to find one for this tag.

2.I’ve been blogging for over 4 years now. Most recently here prairierunner.wordpress.com It’s my social life along with Flickr.

3.I love gardening, especially the flowers but I grow a big garden too.

4.Horses and dogs play a huge part in my life both for work and for fun.

5.I live in the middle of nowhere as opposed to most people. We’re 12 miles from the nearest neighbor by road.

6.I “know” more people in cyberspace than I do anywhere. (sad but true)

7.I pretty much make all of our tack. It’s more homemade than handmade though (there’s a huge difference between the two)

8.I play the piano and guitar (badly) by ear.

9.I hate instructions, they’re something to look at ONLY when all else has failed.

10.I love to cook and read recipe books but I hardly ever follow a recipe. I much prefer to “dump and pour” (read #9).

11.I’ve been “one of the boys” longer than I can remember.

12.I love to make quilts because it’s at least one feminine thing I can do.

13.We ranch for a living, but if you’ve looked at my pictures you probably know that one.

14.If I could take a summer and live anywhere and do anything I would live in Sitka, Alaska and take pictures.

15.My goal is to learn to be a better “picture taker” by using my camera on a daily bases, even if I only have a rock to take a picture of!

Die Po­lizei, welc­he in de­ut­li­cher Un­terzahl und sich­tlich über­fordert war, muss­te da­ra­uf­hin erst ein­mal al­le verfügba­ren Kräfte zu­sam­menzi­ehen. Nach anfängli­chen, über­fordert und ver­wirrt wir­kenden Ver­su­chen, die Strec­ke an vi­er Stel­len zu räumen, gab die Po­lizei auf. Dort hat­ten sich der­we­il drei Gre­en­pe­ace-Ak­ti­vist_in­nen an einer Bahnbrücke über der Kin­zig ab­ge­se­ilt und so den Trans­port eben­falls für eini­ge Stun­den verzögert. Während un­gefähr 20 Ak­ti­vist_in­nen, von der Po­lizei ein­ge­kes­selt, ih­re Mits­tre­iter_in­nen la­uts­tark un­terstützten, über­fuhr der Cas­tort­ran­sport di­rekt an den noch hängen­den Ak­ti­vist_in­nen vor­bei die Brücke (Vi­deo).

Auch in Karl­sru­he wur­de spon­tan ver­sucht, mit 300 Mens­chen eine Brücke über der Cas­tor-Strec­ke zu be­set­zen, was aufg­rund des mas­si­ven Po­lize­iauf­ge­bots miss­lang. Da­nach zo­gen die Ak­ti­vist_in­nen in einer Spon­tande­mons­tra­ti­on durch die In­nens­tadt. Da­bei wur­den min­destens drei Mens­chen in Ge­wahr­sam ge­nom­men.
