1. which will explain why I chose this shot, I am a bit of a contradiction, I am very Introvert and quiet when around people I dont know, but when around people I do know and trust I can be a total extrovert

 

2. Have had the good or bad fortune to travel to over 50 Countries, many of them not places on peoples want to visit lists, which has been quite an experience and make me appreciate how lucky I am with what I have, even though I have got Malaria, TB and a few other exotic illnesses along the way

 

3. As my name applies I have quite a few tattoo's 13 at this stage, so thats not new, but the fact that I have on quite a few occasions fallen asleep while being tattooed is something you may not know about me

 

4. As a kid I was terrible for picking sores, to the stage my mother had to knit me mittens and tie them on me to stop me picking, well I say when I was young I havent really changed and Lulu has threatened many times to knit or get mittens to stop me picking now

 

5. I like to make a stand and be different especially if forced to do something, such as when I came here to NY and we had to wear Suits and ties, to show my rebellion I would wear unmatched socks and quite shall I say colorful and noticeable ties, I for the most part wear matching socks now, but still like ties that stand out, most of my Ties are from the Jerry Garcia range

 

6. Some may think I am a terrible speller, funnily enough thats not the case, the problem is a am quite a hyper person and only have two speeds full speed ahead or asleep, and its the same when typing here on flickr, my fingers cannot keep up with my thinking and I make mistakes, and as I skim read when I read through it after I often miss my typos, same thing used to happen when I talked as a youngster, My parents were worried and I was sent to a speech therapist as I used to slur words, seem to lisp and often miss words in sentences, and in the end the doctor said there wasnt anything wrong other than my brain was more active than my tongue and it couldnt keep up.

 

7. I have quite a collection of Coca cola collectibles, and will never touch Pepsi, even to the point I have driven family nuts but saying no were not going to eat here they dont serve Coca Cola, I used to be real bad drinking it all day, but have cut back considerably, but only ever drink cold drinks, I think I have had about 4 hot drinks in my life and just dont like them

 

8.I am always on the lookout for the latest gadgets, some even call me inspector gadget, I have so many different gadget watches and things, but have got better and dont buy so many on impulse any more

 

9. I can be real stubborn and determined about things, for example I was told by my wife and others for ages that I needed glasses, but no I was sure they were wrong, I finally came to the realization that perhaps they were right when My arms just were not long enough for me to hold a paper at arms lenght and be able to read it, and felt a little silly having to put the paper on the floor to be able to look down and read it, so I went and got glasses then and now am lost without them, funny thing is it wasnt about vanity and not wanting to wear glasses as I wore sun glasses all the time, even transition ones that I could wear inside, I just hate going to DR's Dentists hospitals etc

 

I have plain tastes pretty much when it comes to food, I dont like hot or spicy food, I would quite happily eat baked beans on toast as the staple part of my diet, I do love a good Roast lamb and if I do say so myself a cook up a great one.

I have just been tagged by KingoftheHill and AccidentalPhotographer, so I resist no further, here it goes, another 10 Things about me:

 

1. Yes that is me on the motorcycle a few years ago & ohh how I miss it

2. I never like watching a movie more than once, although I have 5 exceptions and they are Forest Gump, LOTR, Star Wars & Wall-e. Forest Gump just touches home in so many ways and the others are just visual works of art I never get tired of watching.

3. I am alergic to so many things, nurses freak out when they do tests on me (yes that bad!)

4. I did myself a great favour some 20 years ago. I started running.

5. I have had ashma for over 10 years. Western medicine has no cure for it. I was cured 2 years ago by a chinese herb doctor and have not taken medication since. If you love someone with asthma talk him into trying chinese herb medicine – if you want the contact info of my doctor just send me an email.

6. I feel like a little boy when I am around gadgets, I read most of the instruction manuals and need to learn how to do it ALL.

7. My glass is always half full

8. I love dancing

9. I beleive in destiny and not in statistics

10. And yes, I love working with numbers & I love my job – being a CPA Rocks! :)

1. Adoro los libros, pero no sólo leerlos sino el objeto en sí. Me gusta el olor del papel, la numeración de las páginas, la tipografía, la portada, las ilustraciones... Y cuando empiezo una novela, tengo una manía: leer la última palabra. Sólo la última.

 

2. Odio el teléfono móvil. Odio el concepto que lo acompaña: estar disponible para todo el mundo, 24 horas al día, 7 días a la semana. Odio la frase: Por qué nunca coges el teléfono?

 

3. Aunque me considero una persona "urbana" la Naturaleza me relaja.

Oh dear. I meant this to be on private until tomorrow morning. There are 3 more I've posted that I have put on private for now. As my eyes are troubling me a lot at the moment I find it easier to do it a little at a time in 2 stages but I've got the order wrong too! When covid came along many of us had to grow our hair long. It was quite an undertaking for my very thick frizzy hair and I needed varied tools to keep it in place. This was called a slide but much different from what I knew as a slide. I have them in 3 different colours. I played with combining some in different ways this morning.

16 things about myself:

 

1) Thinks that Vladimir Nabokov is one of the greatest writers which English language has ever produced.

 

2) Until now, black is his favorite color.

 

3) Intermittently suffers from a short term memory loss. Has lost his bicycle several times before remembering where he left it.

 

4) Likes snow but not snowfall.

 

5) Is amazingly good at forgetting names but remembering faces.

 

6) Thinks bantering comes to him naturally. Once he gets to know someone (i.e. gather initial required data to start bantering), it could be fun ;-).

 

7) Has tried several times to start and maintain a blog but has never made it.

 

8) In some cultures 8 is an auspicious number. But what does this has to do with me?

 

9) Firmly believes that in a movie/novel, more important than a story is the manner in which it is unrolled to the viewer/reader. Take “Pulp Fiction” as an example. Well, this doesn’t apply to most Bollywood movies, since they lack both.

The meaning of my profile name:

 

KENDOLL: When I opened my flickr account I had began collecting Ken dolls ( I had only 2!) and Kens are the toys I have the most interest of.

 

GT: Has two meanings, GT Is a international abreviattion of my country: Guatemala. and GT for cars, that I also like.

You can thank this Guy for this shot that has absolutely no redeeming qualities but that it shows exactly how I have been feeling of late...a bit fuzzy and out of sorts.

Not to worry though, I'm not tagging anyone else; I think you've all been hit at least once!

So here's everything you always wanted to know about me and more>>>

 

1. I'm stubborn when I finally dig my heels in about something; but there is usually good cause.

2. Most of the time, I'd just rather do it myself.

3. Being VERY inquisitive by nature, I want to know who, what, when, where and most of all, WHY :)

4. I’ll usually tell you what I think about something if you ask me (and sometimes even if you don’t), but I really am a very private person and seldom share my deepest thoughts and feelings with anyone.

5. The older I become the more I realize just how much I haven’t done and just how short life really is.

6. I am addicted to magazines and have a larger library of decorating , design and jewelry magazines than I do books.

7. I am a "jack of all trades and master of none" because I love to learn SOMEthing about EVERYthing :)

8. I have a very acute sense of smell and, at one point in my life, wanted to be a perfumer or “nose”. I am, in fact, a very sensory person overall.

9, When it comes to food, I am a creature of habit. Once I find something I like at a restaurant, I seldom will order anything different.

10. There are few things more relaxing to me than a roaring fire in the fireplace.

11. Give me a good book and I can take an instant vacation.

12. I LOVE going to the beach; I’m just a warm weather girl.

13. I am a very tidy person and have a very difficult time with clutter or messiness. I am not, thankfully, as OCD as I once was.

14. My grandparents have been gone for years, but I have missed them every day of my life since. They were the most perfect examples of unconditional love I have ever known.

15. Although I am right-handed, I bat and golf left-handed. That could explain why I’m so uncoordinated, you think? ;)
