A postcard showing a lovely porcelain tea set on a table which looks like it is set for an elegant tea.I started out collecting postcards showing tableware being advertised or for sale. I just started buying vintage postcards that show tableware of the era in use.

These suckers weigh a ton! My first Tableware pieces ~ thrifted.

I was soooooo excited when I found them.

Not 1 or 2, but set of EIGHT!!!

Here are some tableware pieces that have been found in Greece earlier. This was seen in the Byzantine Museum in Thessaloniki, Greece.

An incomplete set of Willow pattern china. Three cups (about 65mm diameter and 60mm high; one chipped) and five saucers (about 115mm in diameter) , four small plates (about 150mm in diameter) and two large plates. Branded Copeland.

these are so cute. perfect size for a couple scoops of ice cream.

On 8 Feb 2006, I attended the "Annual Tableware Exhibition" at the Tokyo Dome. I took more than 150 photos, but will only share a few of my favorites.

This porcelain china is made by one of my most favorite china makers in Japan. It was made by Okura China (made in Yokohama) for a television drama series.

This company is noted for the lovely cobalt blue on white porcelain with hand-embossed gold.

And, yes... I have almost a full set of their china, but my pattern is one of their older and more traditional (easily recognized) patterns (which is white with a blue rose).
