Borger: de gevelsteen in de woning Bronneger 23.
Mijn gedachte was dat de zwaan verwees naar het buurtschap 't Zwaantje dat hier volgens de topografische kaarten zou zijn. Maar navraag bij de bewoners van deze woning leverde een ander verband op, namelijk naar een bewoonster uit de eerste helft van de 20e eeuw van dit pand, Swaantje Oterden. Zij verdiende haar kostje door in de buurt hand-en spandiensten te verrichten. Een latere bewoner, een kunstenaar uit Amsterdam, heeft de herinnering aan haar in een tegeltableau vorm gegeven. Dat tableau is beschadigd, maar op basis daarvan is de gevelsteen gemaakt die bij een renovatie van het pand in 1967 is aangebracht. Het buurtschap 't Zwaantje bestaat overigens helemaal niet en zou een verzinsel zijn van recreatieve instanties; wellicht naar aanleiding van de gevelsteen?

Using a reference image i created an etching using photoshop and my personal tablet. I used this to experiment with line and mark making.
