Finished on a high note with my second favourite of the day, Holt church being a delight for anyone with a penchant for Romanesque; The south doorway is finely carved with entertaining capitals as is the chancel arch within (though harder to see in the gloom of the interior) and the superb font is carved with monstrous faces and intertwined ornament.
There are good medieval survivals too, a fragmentary 15th century Annunciation in a south chapel window and some really beautiful medieval tiles, some with canopy designs, others forming complex rosettes. Nearby, tucked behind the organ is a repainted 14th century effigy of a lady and an impressively flamboyant Baroque tablet with seated cherubs.
All in all a most rewarding church I'd been meaning to visit having seen it in the distance on so many work outings, when I was often confused by what appeared to be a second medieval church tower nearby; which is actually part of a manor house situated behind the church (of which the tower appears to be the only medieval part, but still impressive).
The church of All Saints at Chadshunt stands set back by the road between Gaydon & Kineton but is easily missed, being surrounded by trees in one of the most overgrown churchyards I've ever seen.
It comes as no surprise to learn that it's long been redundant and vested in the Churches Conservation Trust as there is hardly any village here (a few large houses lie just beyond, which is where one must seek out the keyholder as the church is normally locked).
By contrast to nearby Gaydon this is a church of real antiquity, left virtually untouched by the Victorians with something to show from most periods; the long nave is 12th century Norman (as is the font) but most of the details and tower are later medieval. The chancel is a purely Georgian rebuilding with a Venetian east window. There is also a Georgian north chapel, clearly intended as a family pew and, having a raised floor, accessed by steps.
The main items of interest within are the tub-shaped norman font, a Baroque tablet on the south wall and a series of late16th century painted glass panels in the north chapel (12 in all, of continental origin, and set amongst Victorian ornament).

The method of chance has been integral to each of my collages; it has come to be nicknamed “pick magic.” Carefully cut pieces are picked and matched with backgrounds without looking at either. The collage then goes back into rotation until it is finished, it may take a day or several years.
The Dadaist’s, particularly Jean Arp, pioneered this idea of chance in collage. He believed chance introduced an imbalance and immediacy that restored a work’s mysterious vitality and its primeval magic power.
I have found through this method, correlations and patterns I wouldn’t have discovered on my own, making the experience of creation far more exciting. You begin developing a dialogue between yourself and your subconscious, rich with humour, surprises and insight.
This original collage is mounted on a 6”x6” ceramic tile and is coated with a shellac sealer. It adds interest to empty nooks and looks great grouped together. Mix and match your favourite colors to accent any room. It is ready to hang with no framing required.

I am a first year student in Sligo IT Fine Art and our first project for Semester 1 was 'Changing Worlds.'
When I was little I remember getting a few injections, since having children they seem to get have to get vaccinations every 6 months until they're 5.
I feel very strongly that most children don't need to get all of these injections and decided that 'Changing Worlds' would be about the actual viruses and molecules we have to 'fight' against.
