We love these big Belgian Waffles and fill them with blueberries and add a bit of whipped cream. They are very Scrumptious. The vase of pink peonies added a lovely touch of colour. I add good quality cinnamon to them and to my coffee which has no sugar ever for the last 30 years, nor cream! Waffles are an occasional treat.
I love Christmas, and a Christmas with all the trimmings is just what I enjoy. Therefore Christmas luncheon had on the back terrace is a classic affair. Antique Edwardian salon chairs, Royal Albert "Val d'Or" tableware, crystal glasses, Sheffield cutlery, antique silverware and my grandmother's napkin rings, antique linen, embroidered napery, and festive Christmas crackers. However, it is my floral centrepiece that I enjoy most about my table setting every Christmas. This year my florist supplied me with cream, magenta and pale pink roses. The asparagus fern comes from my garden, as I like to create my own centrepieces.
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas Day and are enjoying the time between here and New Year's Eve.
A table setting in a closed restaurant seems imprisoned by the protective vertical bars next to the glass window. Taken through glass against the early afternoon sunlight in Federation Square, Melbourne with the EF 50mm f/1.4 USM prime.

The table setting at a cottage wedding - hand picked lilacs filled the room with the fragrance of spring.
Café Tortoni at Avenida de Mayo 825.
Yes, the cafe is a tourist magnet.
Café Tortoni is the oldest and perhaps best preserved of the city’s many officially recognised historic cafés, known as "bares notables".
Founded in 1858 in the neighbourhood of Monserrat, this elegant venue built by architect Alejandro Christophersen was frequented by important politicians and cultural icons of the day.
The cafe was founded by a French immigrant named Touan and named after a cafe in Paris.

Time for a quick lunch at Hoteles Centenario restaurant before we moved on the the next Magic Town of Mexico - Cadereyta de Montes.
We ate lunch here on a previous visit and then and now we had an enjoyable meal.
There is no direct bus connection from Bernal to Cadereyta so eventually we found a taxi driver who gave us a 45 minute ride.
Table settings are difficult for me to capture because of the long piece of glass I use to cover my runner and protect the gorgeous doilies from my dear Flickr friend in Maine. The Christmas Cactus in our plant window is so happy this time of year. Amazingly, it also flowers at Easter and Thanksgiving!
Here's a bokeh-filled goblet to quench your thirst. There's more in the pitcher if you want it badly!
Inspired by my (belated) watching of the Prince's wedding in Sweden, I was in a mood for festivity and celebration. I loved finely decorated tables, with gleaming silverware, candleholders, exquisite china and thick starched tablecloth.
Cheers to Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia!
Hadn't seen our dear old artist friends in three years, so was wonderful to visit again for a delicious meal, while sitting on a beautiful picnic *bench* table on their patio! Perfect evening for catching up and dining. Happy Bench Monday, everyone!

I love Christmas, and a Christmas with all the trimmings is just what I enjoy. Therefore Christmas luncheon had on the back terrace is a classic affair. Royal Albert "Val d'Or" tableware, crystal glasses, Sheffield cutlery, antique silverware and napkin rings, antique linen and Tom Smith Christmas crackers. However, it is my floral centrepiece that I enjoy most about my table setting every Christmas. This year my florist supplied me with cream, fiery orange and deep red roses. The photos don't do the red or the orange justice. The asparagus fern comes from my garden, as I like to create my own centrepieces.
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas Day and are enjoying the time between here and New Year's Eve.
The color scheme for this wedding was chocolate brown, apple green and ruby red. The room was decorated with elegant, eclectic and unique florals and tableware. Tiny apples and red grapes enhanced the table centerpieces.
Wedding coordination by Michelle of MB Weddings and Events... a joy to work with and highly recommended! www.mbweddingdesigns.com/
I wanted to make a runner to coordinate with my new plates . . . and found this abstract fabric in my stash. I had originally used some of it to make sewn journal pages for a friend. I think the pattern was better suited for that project!
Guess this will just remain a table installation!
Happy Easter, everyone!
