A couple of Western Tiger Swallowtails dine on nectar from a lilac bloom. This may be the same couple I photographed in flight.

It is a good year for these butterflies, as they are in abundance and the lilacs seem to be their favorite place.

This is a shot of an antique wooden table top spotted at the local market.

One of our resident Blackbirds has turned a patio table into his private landing strip when arriving for a snack. Only he hasn't yet quiet mastered touching down on a glass top runway. Oh happy days ... :-))

Kinda hard to tell the difference between shadows and features.

It was too cold to enjoy it, 38 degrees F, with 15mph wind gusts.

A Red-headed Woodpecker and a Black-capped Chickadee share this table for two of seeds and nuts. The woodpecker actually looks a little annoyed at the chickadee that joined him.
