Botanical gardens Munich

A spectacular feature of the Taranaki coast were the Twin Arches. Few people ever got to see them. They collapsed some time in early 2017 less than a year after I took this picture.

Tower Bridge is one of the most impressive structures and sites in the capital and has stood over the River Thames since 1894. As well as being one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world, it is one of the most visited attractions in London and continues to be a working bridge to this day.

Spiranthes sinensis var. amoena (Chinese spiranthes, ’Nejibana’ in Japanese) is a species of wild orchid native to Eastern Eurasia. The Japanese name means ‘Screw Flowers’. I found a couple of ’Nejibana’ of left- and right-handed screws were blooming side by side in a beautifully symmetrical way.

I really like the appearance and structure of these mountains, aptly named Twin Peaks, which are part of the Chugach Mountain range in Alaska. Here I've bordered the peaks with fall colors as viewed from Reflections Lake.
