Tried an idea of creating a 50/50 blend of Sharp and smooth detail , minimalism was the target outcome .

I like the more traditional techniques better. But it does add another option for my Canon 5D III.
Trying something different by making it black and white (mostly because there was no way I could make it look good in colour).
Red-rumped Parrot (Psephotus haematonotus) female
Lovely to see a pair of Red-rumped Parrots during a very brief stop at Sneydes Rd. today. They kept moving away from me and eventually tried to hide. The male was successful but I could still see the female!
That`s my first try to make photo like this one. I know, it hasn`t such a gret qualitty but however I like it. Different than all others. :)

Tried the man running button, but it just confused the poor camera and since I don't have a man jumping the waves button, I had to go manual on the shutter and hope auto-focus could keep up.
The waves were so small that the guys tried very few jumps but he saw me with the camera and made this one attempt. Bless him.

Panoramic
Adding so many photos in one day is a shame, but I am very delayed on this thing and I would like to catch up with the ones from the last months, so I cant go into details with each photo working them as I would like or I would just have to completely stop doing other things in my life for a few months.. and after 4 or 5 photos I guess kind of tired of them...

I'm struggling to keep one foot moving in front of the other lately. Depression is my constant companion, gnawing at my insides and pressing heavily on my soul as I try to face the day in a world for which I've lost all hope. Vancouver's relentless dark days and torrential rain are not helping.
On our travels yesterday Steve and I came across a waterfall that dozens of salmon were attempting to jump to continue their journey upstream to the spawning grounds.
Sometimes there were as many as 8 salmon airborne at once, we were mesmerised by the spectacle and spent far too long watching or trying to photograph the futile attempts of the salmon.
The river level was high, and I think the volume of water was as much of a problem as the height they were trying to clear. Many of the fish were jumping at the rock face and there were plenty of mid-air collisions too.
