Grasses and leaves trapped in the icy grip of a frozen puddle.

A GEVO, Dash-9 and Dash-8 lead a train somewhere along the Transcon's Crookton Cutoff in Arizona.

Earlier in the day I had stumbled upon an unlocked MOW gate and spent the day pottering my way around the trackside access roads. Of course at the end of the day I returned to find the gate locked! Aieeeee!

After an hour of driving around dirt roads I managed to find a spot near a gate with a fence in poor condition containing a few fenceposts that could be unplugged. I was able to drive out over the flattened fence and restore it as if nothing had happened. Other than the tire tracks from the rented F150.... Earlier in the day I managed over to drive over a leg of my aluminum tripod, so quite the day.

Quite a contrast to photographing all the butterflies that were flitting about was the commotion in some log grass in front of me... Couldn't help feeling sorry for this Dragon fly that had been caught in this spiders web.

This poor mozzie did not want its photo taken.

No matter how much it wriggled, it could not get free.

Les visites faites dans un magasin de Plant Barn du côté de Botany sont toujours une belle occasion pour sortir mon appareil photo et de piquer quelques belles créatures pour ma collection personnelle à l'image de cette plante carnivore appelée Venus Fly Traps.

In the glow of a brand-new year,

Let courage rise and silence fear.

Live each moment, bold and free,

Write your story, let it be.

Dance through life with hearts alight,

Chase your dreams into the night.

For every scar, a tale to tell,

A path to hope, where strength will dwell.

May the days ahead be bright,

Filled with love, and endless light.

In the spirit of "The Nights," stay true,

This year’s adventure waits for you.

Stood on my porch to see what was happening with the moonrise. Saw this moment. Ran back in to grab my camera Ran to the porch zoomed, focused, and pressed the shutter release.

I really want to make pictures that move people emotionally in some way. My goal for my 365 projects has been to show that light can transform even the most mundane items into things of magic and wonder. Look around you and see what is hiding in your world.

sometimes it happens that I put the flowers in the water and that air bubbles form around the stem.

No, not always, I’m convinced there must be a ‘scientific’ explanation for that phenomenon, LOL.

This butterfly was trapped behind the curtain in the garage, very carefully I caught it and set it free...

The Japanese Flowering Quince (Chaenomeles japonica) has been flowering its little head off since December now, and is showing no sign of stopping. I love its elegant form and the colour tones beautifully with the turquoise glass and deep brown leather.
