Had a fun day shooting with my Nikon 200-500mm lens, Its big and heavy but its great for using on the track.
This is Discovery Park, a fairly new tourist attraction. I remember seeing the bull dozers clearing the land on my last trip through not realizing it would have a train display when completed. I just happened to be coming home this way from visiting a friend for the holiday.
The display contains a replica depot, a Swedish built steam locomotive, 4-6-0, 3 passenger cars that came from Unity Maine along with the locomotive and a relocated caboose. The caboose is Gulf, Mobile & Ohio (GM&O) 2711 as Gulf, Mobile & Ohio (GM&O) 2618 and used to be displayed in town.

RUPO crosses the Bernie Hartford road in Leeds, ME on a cool but pleasant day in December 2021.
The small train would get cleared to MP 154 just after Leeds Jct and wait on DJ-1 and a trackcar to play around on the main. I decided with the short days to split a bit early as it seemed to be a 'hurry up and wait' kind of day. They'd have work at Danville Jct anyhow taking them into the afternoon darkness.
How do you guys like the specs on this GT4? I can tell those who haven't heard it jet that it sounds epic!

all ambient light except for the wheels, on the wheels i used 2 x vivitar 285hv, just to give it some proper constrast really.
I like harsh shadows in wheels. :)

First try a using photoshop to blur the back grounds after realising all the pro ones i see are faked too. I still needed a very blurred background to start with so still need the in camera skill.
This is the 'M-Cars of Seattle' Track Car. Currently awaiting sunshine and a paintjob.
Model:: 1975(6) 2002 with fully upgraded suspension, roll cage and race seats. Fully rebuilt motor and trans, ready for a few lap days...

My grip build of the Lotus Exige S in Need For Speed 2015.
The wrap is inspired by one of the designs from NFS Shift - of course with my own twists here and there.
At the southernmost point of the NERCA run on the NECR, the trackcars turned themselves, then assembled in the NECR's New London yard. Part of the yard has the Amtrak Shore Line passing overhead, and in this shot a Regional is heading for New London station. May 15, 2005
This car looks fast standing still but sound the dogs (bits) when it isn't. A classic the moment it come out of the factory. I thought I would try it in a mono for the classic look.

I'm used to lots of things and rare cars .. but when I saw this I defnitely had a WTF moment! This DBR9 was delivered minutes ago after I arrived. Now stored in a private collection. Amazing to see this in a Mew ..
Short Shot.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA has it all; beautiful lines, fine details in all the right places and the brawn to match. It is so well balanced in a clean and uncluttered package that it might just be the very spirit of the ultimate classic sports car. The track spec editions embody a mash up attitude of carefree practicality and track-dedicated aggressiveness and have always been timeless to my eyes. Here you’ll find a favorite Alfa livery example run through the filter of my 5w Toon style.
