It was a windy day when I took this picture. As this place is always crowded with visitors, to find a spot to do long exposure was not so easy. One hour for one photo...

The Towers are three massive granite peaks within the Cordillera del Paine Mountain range. Their names are Torres d'Agostini, Torres Central, and Torres Monzino. I captured this photo of the Towers from the shoreline of Laguna Azul.
The best time to visit London is before the masses, this was the sunrise at 6am and only a few people to share it with (other photographers!!)
You never know what you're going to get when getting up at 3am but this sunrise as definitely worth the effort!
The bell tower of St. Nicholas Cathedral (known as the flooded bell tower) is a historical and architectural monument on the artificial island of the Uglich reservoir near the town of Kalyazin..The bell tower was built in 1800 under Nikolsky Cathedral (built in 1694) of the former Nikolo-Zhabensky monastery in the style of classicism; had five tiers, a dome with a head and a spire. The bell tower (height 74.5 m) was built in 6 years. It had 12 bells.
By the 1940s, the Volgostroy project was approved, which envisaged the artificial expansion of the Volga River and the creation of hydroelectric power stations in its water area. When the Uglich reservoir was created, the old part of Kalyazin was in the flood zone; the cathedral was demolished, and the bell tower was left as a lighthouse. Immediately, as laden barges began to go along the Volga, it became clear that it was impossible to orient to other signs, since a very sharp turn of the river runs here..On August 18, 2016, 5 new bells were installed on the bell tower; they were cast by special order in the Moscow workshop of Ilya Drozdihin. Now the bell ringing accompanies each service.
Currently, the flooded bell tower is the main symbol of Kalyazin and attracts many tourists. In the summer, regular prayers are held near the bell tower.
William Kellie Smith had this tower of his "castle" designed to incorporate a lift but it was left unfinished after his death. A little of the original or first house can be seen on the left.

The Renaissance castle of Fontaine-Henry was built by the family d'Harcourt and it took nearly a hundred years to finish it (hence it's mainly a Renaissance building, finished in 1560, but it has some details that are in the Gothic style known as Flamboyant). There was actually a fortress built here already in the 11th century and in the beginning of the 13th century this was replaced by a castle (which might explain why it next to the current castle stands a very medieval chapel).
And yes, that is a very steep roof. Steep and high. When it was built it aimed to be the highest roof in France (not the highest building, mind you, the highest roof). It's a beautiful castle, but that is a little bit weird!
The castle is still owned by people who are direct descendants of the family who first started building this castle - though the surname has sometimes changed and the current owners carry the name d’Oilliamson - since it a few times was inherited by women. The house is still privately owned, but the interior can be visited on guided tours (no photography allowed, though).
Tower Bridge in London was built between 1886 and 1894, it is a combined bascule and suspension bridge. Many people confuse this as London Bridge, which it isn't, although it's quite possibly London's most famous bridge.
Tower Bridge opens for Dixie Queen, a replica of a 19th century Mississippi paddle steamer and one of the largest boats regularly on the River Thames. The bridge was open soon after a dull sunset here, but the low tide enabled me to get to a spot not usually accessible.
Through the bridge you can just see a Christmas tree by City Hall.
We took a cruise on the Themes while on this trip and I got a different perspective of the Tower Bridge. It was a beautiful day with blue skies and white puffy clouds.
On our first trip to London over 40 years ago we actually climbed to the top but at our advanced age this view was good enough.
Enjoy.
