Kawah Ijen (2386 m) is an active composite volcano located within the Pleistocene Ijen Caldera (old volcanic crater), at the easternmost part of Java island. The visible superficial manifestations of the hydrothermal system of Kawah Ijen’s activity consist of the world’s largest hyperacidic lake on Earth, a few thermal discharges and crater fumaroles which produce significant amounts of native sulfur.
The Ijen caldera complex measures approximately 210 km2. Its name is linked to that of the only currently active volcano within the caldera, Kawah Ijen. The caldera contains more than 15 post caldera volcanic cones making it one of the top recommended area in the world for stunning volcanic scenery.
Starting from Denpasar Airport, Kuta, Ubud, Sanur or any other places in Bali, our english speaking driver will pick you up at 6 pm, with an AC vehicle to bring you to the most western part of Bali in Gilimanuk (Ferry terminal to Java). The trip take about 4 hours.
Once in Gilimanuk, the ferry ride takes 1 hour to reach Ketapang (Banyuwangi ferry terminal). Remember that Java is h-1 compared to Bali.
From there, at around 12:00am we will bring you to Paltuding rest area (1-1,5 hour). The road offers a number of magic landscapes in the middle of rice fields, small villages and one one the last primary tropical rainforest left on Java island rounded by numerous volcanoes. You will mainly enjoy those sceneries on the way back during daytime.
From Paltuding Area, at around 1:30am, you will start hiking to Ijen Crater. It takes about 1:30 -1:45 minutes for the 3km hike following gentle slope and slightly uphill to reach the summit. The path is pretty well maintained in good condition and other views of rounding volcanoes and luxurious vegetation will accompany your journey. From the crater rim, providing you gas mask, we will bring you down to see the blue fire right on the edge of the acidic lake (temperature of the lake : +- 40°c; Ph: 0,5 ; max depth:+-200m). The laker is also the source for the river Banyupahit, resulting in highly acidic and metal-enriched river water which has a significant detrimental effect on the downstream river ecosystem.

BLUE FIRE KAWAH IJENThe blue fire is ignited sulphuric gas, which emerges from cracks at temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius (1,112 degrees Fahrenheit). Those gases are directly originated from the magmatic chamber under the volcano. The flames can be up to 5 metres high; some of the gas condenses to liquid and is still ignited. It is the largest blue flame area in the world and one of the purest sulfur mine. Escaping volcanic gases are channelled through a network of ceramic pipes, resulting in condensation of molten sulfur. The sulphur, which is deep red in colour when molten, pours slowly from the ends of these pipes and pools on the ground, turning bright yellow as it cools. The miners break the cooled material into large pieces and carry it away in baskets. Miners carry loads ranging from 75 kilograms to 90 kilograms, up 300 metres to the crater rim, with a gradient of 45 to 60 degrees and Most miners make this journey twice a day. (wikipedia)
After enjoying the spectacular Blue Fire, we go back to crater rim to enjoy the sunrise over the entire volcanic area.
The hike to go down takes about 45mins – 1h. The driver will pick you up in Paltuding to go to have breakfast. After breakfast we continue our journey to ketapang ferry terminal to cross to Bali (ferry +-1h). Once in Bali, it takes about 4-5 hours to reach Denpasar, Ubud, Kuta or Sanur. Scenario of your tour
Your adventure starts from your 1½ hours journey from Kota Kinabalu to Kinabalu National Park that passes through scenic countryside and beautiful mountain range. Upon your arrival at the Kinabalu Park’s headquarters, you are required to register your name and passport number.
At about 9.30 am, you will be transferred to Timpohon gate located at 1,866.4 meters above sea level and from there you will proceed to Laban Rata that may take 4 to 6 hours walk.
Along this trail, you will be able to see for yourself different vegetations. There are 6 shelters that you can take your rest while at the same time enabling you to enjoy the panoramic view of the rainforest. By late afternoon you should be able to reach Laban Rata, check-in into the dormitory and after that you will be given your free own leisure. You will be served with dinner before your overnight stay at this site as a preparation for your walk to the summit.
The next morning, at about 2.30 a.m, you will be given a wake-up call. Get ready with your flash light because you needed it to help you see the dark trail of your final journey of 30 minutes to the highest mountain in Southeast Asia, that is, the summit of Hugh Low’s Peak at 4,095.2 meters above sea level. Your stay at the peak will be about 4 hours so don’t forget to bring your camera for you to capture your memorable climb of this well known mountain, Mount Kinabalu. Also, witness the spectacular sunrise so that you will not regret this once in a life time unforgettable experience. A breakfast will only be served when you reach Laban Rata. Your check-out of Laban Rata starts your descend to Timpohon gate and thereby ends your Kinabalu climbing.
Your lunch will be held at the Liwagu restaurant and after that you will be transferred back to Kota Kinabalu.

Phewa Lake – The Pride of Pokhara
Situated at an altitude of 784m at the western edge of Pokhara city, Phewa Lake is the second largest lake of Nepal after Rara Lake and the largest lake of Pokhara Valley. It covers an area of about 4.43 sq km with an average depth of about 8.6m and maximum water depth is 19m. On the southern mouth of the lake, a dam has been built which actually has increased the water level of this lake. The water of the lake is used for irrigation and electricity generation purpose.
The lake is surrounded by Sarangkot and Kaskikot hills on the northern side. The hill running along the lake is called Raniban which is very rich in flora and fauna. Mammals like common leopard, bengal fox and barking deer can be seen in this forest. An amazing piping sound of honey bees can be heard if you travel in boat around the hill of this lake.

Barahi Bhagwati Temple
The Barahi Temple is the most important religious structure in Pokhara. Located in the middle of Phewa Lake, this two-storied pagoda is dedicated to Varahi, the Hindu god Lord Vishnu's third incarnation in the form of a wild boar. Faituful Nepalis on Saturdays offers puja here carrying animals and fowl across the lake. It is believed that sacrifice to the deity bring good luck to them.
Baidam

After breakfast at hotel , proceed to the jetty for a 15 or 20 minutes boat–transfer to Sapi Island, the most beautiful island in Kota Kinabalu. (Optional water sports such as parasailing , banana boat , jet skiing , kayaking etc are available on the island at own expense) . Seafood BBQ lunch will be served by the beach. After lunch, transfer back to the hotel. Free at own leisure till time for airport transfer for the flight home!
