The second generation of the Camaro was launched for the 1970 model year running through to 1981dubbed the Super Hugger the second generation was developed without the rush of the first generation and benefited from a greater budget justified by the success of the first generation. Longer and wider than the previous generation and reputed to be more of a drivers car. Although it was an all-new car, the basic mechanical layout of the new Camaro was familiar, engineered much like its predecessor with a unibody structure utilizing a front subframe, A-arm and coil spring front suspension, and rear leaf springs. The chassis and suspension of the second generation were greatly refined in both performance and comfort; sound proofing and road holding.
The performance Z28 option was dropped due to ever-tightening emission standards that spelled the end of the higher-output versions of the 350 cubic-inch V8, The Z28 was re-introduced, in the Spring of 1977 s a 1977½ in response to dramatically increasing sales of Pontiac's Trans Am, and like the Trans Am the Z28 was an instant sucessand was powered by a 350 cubic-inch V8 with four-barrel carburetor and 185 horsepower (175 horses with California emissions equipment), with most cars sold equipped with air conditioning and an automatic transmission for a comfort-oriented public. The engine no longer came with the 4-bolt main bearing engine block, forged crank, forged pistons, big valve heads and performance camshaft that had always been part of the RPO Z28 Special Performance Package,
1981 was the last model year for the second generation Camaro, cars remained virtually unchanged from the 1980 model year, he Z28 was still powered by a 350 cu in (5.7 L) V8, however due to new emissions regulations the engine was now equipped with a CCC (Computer Command Control) unit for the first time. This predecessor to modern engine control modules had an oxygen sensor, an electronically controlled carburetor, a throttle position sensor, coolant sensors, a barometric pressure sensor, a Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor (MAP), and a check engine light on the dash. The transmission was now equipped with a lockup torque converter, controlled by the CCC as well. The CCC could also be used as a self-diagnostic tool. However, as the goal of this change was strictly emissions reduction, horsepower dropped to 175 hp

Tool kit left in the wall of an abandoned office car park, strange as all the tools looked brand new, there was even a set of cutters still in their blister pack.

A hand fan is an instrument and a fashion accessory designed so that with a rhythmic and variable play of the wrist, air can be moved and cooling is facilitated when in a hot environment.
HISTORY: The umbel or parasol and the flabellum, a large fixed fan with a long handle, are considered precedents in Egypt —at least since the 19th dynasty— and in Asia of the modest and functional folding fan and its western variants.
Already in the tomb of Tutankhamun, two fans with precious metal handles were deposited as part of the pharaoh's trousseau.
An essential object in Chinese and Japanese cultures, both in ceremonies and in theater, which synthesizes the fantasy of these peoples in the different types of fans.
In China, the origin of the rigid fan dates back to 2697 BC. C., with the emperor Hsiem Yuan.
LANGUAGE AND SECRET CODES: Progressively a complicated language of codes was developed, according to the movement and position of the fans.
Thus, for example, quickly fanning oneself looking into your eyes translated as "I love you madly", but if it was done slowly, the message was very different: "I am married and you are indifferent to me".
Opening the fan and showing it was equivalent to: “you can wait for me”.
Holding it with both hands advised a cruel “you better forget me”.
If a woman dropped her fan in front of a man, the passionate message was "I belong to you".
If she supported him open on her chest at the level of the heart: "I love you."
If she covered her face with the open fan: "Follow me when I go."
If she rested it on her right cheek it was equivalent to a "yes", but if she rested it on her left it was a resounding and cruel "no". Source: Wikipedia.

Fuente: Wikipedia.

Notes:
Here's a spoon that I started making about 2 weeks ago from a fallen beech branch. The wood was dry, and spalted. I roughed it out in an evening in the woods, and have done the rest sporadically in evenings after work, often no more than a few minutes a day.
This is the first time that I have left a spoon with what is called a tooled finish, i.e. unsanded, just with the finish from the carving knives. I'm not very good at that yet, and my knives could really do with being a lot sharper, but the back of the spoon is quite reasonable. I'm learning.
Overall, whilst it could be better in lots of ways, I am happy with this one.
Austin/(Rover) Maestro (1983-94**) Engine 1994cc Diesel
Registration Number L 850 GRD
Fleet: AA (Automobile Association)

The Maestro was a compact 4 door Hatchback and 2 door Van originally produced as an Austin Maestro under the British Leyland banner. From 1988 onwards under the restructured Rover group the Austin badge was dropped and the vehicle referred to as a Rover maestro though never wearing a Rover badge, simply a Maestro badge. This is a 1994 example of the AA Historic vehicle fleet, powered by the 2.0 litre Austin-Rover MDi engine (a.k.a. Perkins Prima)
Although production officially ended in 1994, production was transferred to Varna, Bulgaria for assembly from complete knockdown kit form., around 2000 were produced before that company Rodacar AD ceased production in 1996, citing the high import costs of the components and little demand. The majority of these cars were exported from Bulgaria to other countries a small number finding their way to the UK and sold by Apple 2000 Ltd. of Bury st. Edmunds.
In 1997 Parkway Services of Ledbury, Herefordshire purchased a batch of 621 CKD kits, previously stored at Cowley. the majority of these were built and converted to RHD form, meaning that the last new Maestro was registered as late as 2001.
This is not quite the end of the saga, the tooling was sold to FAW (First Auto Works), China, who continued to produce the vehicle in both hatchback and van form adding a new model which incorporated a Maestro hatch and Montego front end.
