Un pouillot veloce qui s'envole

It's impossible to recover a movement blur with a sharpening filter : a sharpening filter will only add noise in this case but it will never recover details.

TOPAZ AI SHARPEN includes a new function called STABILIZE that is different from a simple sharpening filter. It tries to find a movement on the photo and to cancel it. That's why sometimes there are small artifacts on the opposite side of the movement, but it is really easy to deal with them with GIMP or photoshop.

To conclude : this tool deserves a try as it is free for 30 days.

It is very usefull for animals in movement (birds in flight, animals running ...), but it can manage movement of the photographer too.

Macro Mondays: Tool

I've had this little pocket sized bottle opener for a few years. It was the prize that came inside a Christmas Cracker and has come in handy on more than one occasion. It is 2" in height and 1.25" across. Image has been cropped to fit the 3" size guideline limits for the group.

Thanks for your visit. Happy Macro Monday!

Macro Mondays - Hand Tool

I call this hand tool a pincher grabber, but am not sure what its technical name is. This tool is over two feet long with a flexible metal shaft. The end shown has a pincher claw for grabbing items like screws that have been dropped where they cannot easily be reached. The other end of the tool has a button for opening and closing the pincher. It was a tradition for men in some parts of Sumatra to carry a bag of miniature ‘tools’ as part of their wedding costume - symbolising everything he would need in everyday married life. A picture of these antique tools and bag can be seen in comments.

After an absence of several weeks, I hope to be more regular on Flickr as we approach the end of what has been a very busy year.

Part of an old wrench.

This is about 3,5 cm.

Happy Macro Monday.

The aroma of chocolate comes out of many shops when walking the streets of Brugge.

TOOLS: It is now trendy to buy these tools, everything for the DIY-er: IN CHOCOLATE.

Looking like rusted tools.

But there you go.

Gimmicky, fun, personally I am not overly keen on it.

Belgian chocolate is renowned, it is quality and tasty, more cacao and less fat.

Good for the skin, did you know?

A bit of dark chocolate every day!

Have a good day and thanks for your visit, so very much appreciated, Magda, (*_*)

Another work of short poetry or prose to complement the image captured one early evening around sunset in the area around International Falls, Minnesota. The view extends to the west looking along the shores of Rainy Lake. Other than aligning myself up to more or less center the sun in the image, the rest was moving around the shoreline until I could find a look with that to complement the lake waters in the right hand portion of the image.

I chose to work with Camera RAW HDR merge tool to better bring that complete color setting in the image. I later exported a TIFF image to DxO PhotoLab 9 where I did some final adjustments with contrast, saturation and brightness for the final image.
