This was my first photoshoot using flash strobes as my lights. The shoot itself was such a learning experience.
In these 2 shots of Kai (merged but not cut out), I wanted to have a washed-out (overexposed if I say) look to it. The background was sky blue so I reckon it won't be a good match against Kai's look (and I wanted it to look white). Thank God for the flash's manual settings and my (somewhat dumb) audacity to just play around with the flash without reading its manual (yet). I guess I should be thankful the flash doesn't have a self-destruct feature, otherwise, I'd be saying goodbye to it the first week I got it.
Let me just take this opportunity to thank 2 friends of mine. Ge for his flattering testimonial (sorry the "thank you" was late. I'm a bit of an a## sometimes LOL) and Jeroen for some useful flash tips. Both cool mates!

Toi is a Red-shanked Douc Langur
She will be 19 yrs. old in June, and I believe that she is the only one of her species living in a zoo. I think she had a mate, but he is no longer listed on the zoo's webpage, so he may have passed on.
In the wild you would find them in the rain forests of Vietnam and Laos. They are critically endangered.
I was glad to get a picture of her. They are very shy creatures. The keepers actually cover over 1/2 of her viewing area, so if she wants to retreat from prying eyes she can.
