The side advertisement on a tramcar on a recent upload from 500 CLT caught my eye. In the postwar London tram period most of the side adverts are well known to me. With reference to various photos and in particular , the less common colour ones I have built up a set that I use on my 1/76 trams.
The charming 'Little Toddlers' one was new to me, though.
Another flickrite contact, Beechwood Photography, kindly sent me an early Christmas present of some Little Toddlers transfers. On close comparison of the original photo and the transfers, I realised that these were of a slightly different style. I also realised that the advert was in fact one intended for a bus - the give away being that the advert frame is not completely filled.
Working from the transfers and the photo, I have drawn up a representation of the other style and it is shown on the side of E1 1571, seen passing the Black Cat Tavern, on my OO scale layout.
Many thanks to Chris for posting the original picture, and Steven for giving me the kick to look more closely.

processed differently for fun and because the energy saving light bulbs have a crappy color cast that i am too lazy to fix.
A dinner snack bento for my little girl, just in case we chose a restaurant that she didn't like. Which we did, so this came in way handy!
I made these cubbies, the dollhouse, and all the wood toys (except the wood tool box and puzzle!) for my two year old.
I'm glad there are legal driving age laws now. This should never happen. This is a very handsome creature in front of a lovely house, so it does compensate a bit for the horror of the thought of that kid riding around town unaccompanied, striking fear into the hearts of citizens everywhere. Maybe the horse got smart and put an end to the ordeal.
This RPPC was adressed to Mrs Edith Hewitt of Frenchtown, N.J. No postmark, so it doesn't look like it ever encountered the Postal Service.
So why did I go to a nostalgia and antique toy show and come home with three horse pictures? I don't ride horses, I don't own horses, I don't even know any horses. But when the deals were done, I had three horses. Perhaps it means something. Perhaps it doesn't. Maybe I was just in the mood for some horsing around.
I SCORED on the little Fisher-Price music player at Target. $12.00 on clearance. She earned it with stickers and calls it her ipod.
