This is Todd the toad. He now lives on our patio full time. He is getting his own apartment to hide in during the day. He has been keeping the bugs at bay during the night. lol

Todd R enjoyed a pair of green SD40-2s at Carlton this past weekend (July 15, 2017) as they handled the westbound Grand Rapids Local. A nice sight in 2017, for sure. Going back a few decades to April 1987 finds an all-rail ore train headed through Carlton with horsepower payback Soo Line (Milw) SD40-2 135 helping. The train is curving through the new control point of Chub Lake, added after BN removed the double track on the Lakes Sub west of Carlton in 1984. Interestingly, both BN SD40-2s were originally built as C&S units.

This is another forgotten image found in my archives.

© 2011 Todd Tobey..... Still nothing new for me. I have not been able to take any photos since April. I'm having withdrawals. Hope something gives soon. Decided to go ahead and post the vertical version of this comp. Took this back in February. Sorry to post and run but I have work to do. I will try to catch up tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

When I came upon this pic in the Del Ray area of Detroit, my first thought was "Todd Hido." Not long ago the Raymond Carver short stories publisher contact Todd and requested the use of some of Todd's images for the cover of the books. He agreed. This picture for me had that same feeling.

© 2010 Todd Tobey.....I have not been able to get out much lately so I decided to post another shot of this old tree. Hopefully, things will change soon and I will be able to get some shooting in. As always, thanks for looking... comments, and constructive criticism are greatly appreciated. Have a great hump day!!!

Cleaning up things in basement, I came across more archival photos- these were polaroids from about 1980.

© 2010 Todd Tobey.......Took this shot late last summer.... When I look at this one it gives me several different feelings or emotions. They range from best seat in the house, to one against all odds and or maybe even a bit of defiance....Anyway, I kind of like it. Maybe some of you will too!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great week. It is better on black if you have the time.

A beautiful gem in the Clemson Experimental Forest of South Carolina. Very easy to reach and the area also has a few historical items to check out as well. For a video guide of this area, please visit: www.hdcarolina.com/episode/todd-creek-falls

meet todd. he's my film camera that i've just discovered.

this is just a random upload. i have some 365's on my camera SD card waiting to be uploaded. this week has been crazy.

a new pandora picture will not be up for a while. i've been attempting for the past two days and just not succeeding. i want to get what i imagined into the photo.

also, random (or not) free print giveaway. first person to guess why wins a print. first person to guess when wins a print. first person to guess the age wins a print. (there's pretty much your first clue). and probably many others.

These falls are right in Sooke Potholes Park, most people bypass them for the main attraction - the potholes.

The Margaret Todd is a 151' 4-masted schooner with a home base here in Bar Harbor. It's distinctive sails can be seen from many angles along the shore and even from the summit of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park! We see it multiple times every day when we are here on vacation because the pier where it ties up is in front of our hotel.

One of the sails must be not working because we never saw all four mainsails up during this visit.

It's one of those local icons that once spotted in Frenchman Bay, you know you are officially on vacation!

ANSH132: 12. Local icon - building, sculpture, sign, etc.

I met Todd in the courtyard of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. When I asked him if he'd like to be apart of my 100 Strangers Project, he said "sure why not, I'm strange" - far from strange, Todd had a great sense of humor, and was a great sport. I used the members & beneficiaries window to frame him, I like the way you can see the courtyard reflected in it.

Thank you Todd for participating in my my 100 Strangers Project
