Roadworks on Saltergate in Chesterfield are presently causing a number of bus services to divert. Beginning on 11 January, Saltergate has been closed westbound between Clarence Road and Foljambe Road, with access from Compton Street also suspended. Stagecoach services 2 and 39 and TM Travel service 16 have been diverting via Clarence Road and Foljambe Road (with the 2 and 16 then using Malvern Road to reach Hawksley Avenue) eastbound, and the 16 has been using Cross Street and Tennyson Avenue eastbound. Stagecoach's 2A was also following the latter diversion, however this route was suspended after service on 23 January as part of lockdown service reductions. The road was originally scheduled to reopen on 8 March, however this has now been pushed back to 19 March.
TM Travel's Scania Omnicity YN56NRY (1209) is seen here on Cross Street with the 10:45 16 from Dronfield to Chesterfield town centre and Broomfield Estate. The vehicle was one of four former Uno Scanias which joined the TM fleet towards the end of 2019, with only one having since been repainted. Anything larger than a Solo was uncommon on the 14/15/16 at this time last year, however lockdown service reductions have resulted in different interworking patterns, meaning that they are now reasonably regular sightings.

This is probably my favorite from the shoot. I do remember getting one hard look from a girl... but maybe that was just the makeup and jewelry?
Of all the vehicle types within the Wellglade Group, Optare Solos seem to be the most varied and randomised. Almost all examples that weren’t new to TrentBarton are numbered in an ad-hoc manner, of mixed ages and originate from a variety of sources. TM Travel in particular have had a cluster of both new and 2nd hand Solos over the years, and to an extent still do.
I can’t tell if it was new to them, but one example of a ‘legacy’ TM Solo that has been with them since at least 2011 is 1205, seen here turning from Harmer Lane into Sheffield Interchange. Although it feels like the TM fleet is under-invested, at least it means you can still find an 04 plate Solo in regular traffic!

Perhaps one of the worst buses imaginable for such a scenic route like the 218, this bus has fully contravisioned windows all the way along on both sides of the bus!!

The Kargo Klampah (TM) was a ubiquitous, yet generally unnoticed, piece of equipment in nearly every spaceport a few centuries ago. Less glamorous than its space-going brethren, such as the Sky Hook or Saibashi, it was equally useful and efficient.
Obsolete Klampahs were often just parked in corners of hangars or forgotten in storage cupboards. Spaceport restoration enthusiasts would find them, centuries later and lovingly restore them. Other Klampahs were used for racing, with souped-up power plants and their Klamps (TM) removed.

Here's and oldie but goodie... date unknown.
I remember selling that dress... I wish I still had it now! It was a cute little number... from either "Deb" or "Flirt".
This was my costume for passing out candy to the kiddie's... labeled "Sweet and Sexy Vampire!" I thought the red-eye added a nice touch.
Lighting info: 1 gridded 32" Octo box in front and 2 diffused Paul Buff 51" PLMs in back and to the sides.
LR4 & PSPX6. D7100 used on the subject.
Back ground swapped with an image from a scanned negative (film).
