She was a beauty--a gold 45 goddess for sure! A Gold 45 Goddess exalts the archetypal form of Athena--the Greek Goddess of wisdom, warfare, strategy, heroic endeavour, handicrafts and reason. A Gold 45 Goddess guards the beauty of dx4/dt=ic and embodies 45SURF's motto "Virtus, Honoris, et Actio Pro Veritas, Amor, et Bellus, (Strength, Honor, and Action for Truth, Love, and Beauty," and she stands ready to inspire and guide you along your epic, heroic journey into art and mythology. It is Athena who descends to call Telemachus to Adventure in the first book of Homer's Odyssey--to man up, find news of his true father Odysseus, and rid his home of the false suitors, and too, it is Athena who descends in the first book of Homer's Iliad, to calm the Rage of Achilles who is about to draw his sword so as to slay his commander who just seized Achilles' prize, thusly robbing Achilles of his Honor--the higher prize Achilles fought for. The Orange-tip is a true sign of spring, being one of the first species to emerge that has not overwintered as an adult. The male and female of this species are very different in appearance. The more-conspicuous male has orange tips to the forewings, that give this butterfly its name. These orange tips are absent in the female and the female is often mistaken for one of the other whites, especially the Green-veined White or Small White. This butterfly is found throughout England, Wales and Ireland, but is somewhat-local further north and especially in Scotland
I think I am addicted to the Macro Monday and was thinking what to do for this week's topic "Contrast".
Opened the drawer and thought of screws.As there are several forms of contrast. In this picture I could finally catch the red and green reflections of copper. I used one flash, a white cloth as reflector and a LED Flash light to aid focussing. HMM everyone!

When I arrived at the tip unloading was well underway. The sun was unfortunately all wrong for this shot but I took a couple anyway. 33019 would return to Hoo Junction as 7T57.
I am very grateful to Adrian Nicholls (Marra Man) for supplying much of the background information for this working.
There were lots of young boys (almost exclusively Afro-Americans) who were drumming with all their might on the bottoms of big plastic buckets, hoping to get a few coins tossed into a tips container that they'd supplied for just that purpose. It was a little heartbreaking to understand that these young boys were most likely living in poverty, so every coin or dollar bill helped. I made sure to always have small bills within easy access to toss into their tips containers.
Today I want to share with you a watercolour top tip. I know watercolour can feel intimidating to some people, but the method I want to talk about today makes watercolouring more approachable. I love the look of loose watercolouring, but there is a lot of skill in letting go and painting in a loose style. However, a more achievable approach is to tackle the painting in layers.
