One of the girls at the office brought these in for me yesterday! She goes to this amazing flower shop they have stunning arrangements!

I found this bright gem on a recent visit to the glasshouse in the gardens at RHS Wisley. I have never seen one of these with such a bright pink colour, they are usually much darker red.

I worked in this image in PhotoShop, trying different filters, etc., but in the end, I left it as it was, because everything I did took away from its natural beauty. So, other than converting it to jpeg, it's SOOC.
I have a busy weekend, so won't be on here too much till Monday. Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there! You all deserve to be spoiled :)

Rose of the year 2007. Masses of lightly scented, well formed, medium pink blooms. Dark, glossy, healthy foliage. Upright habit.
I'm able to fit all my vintage china in my cabinets. 'Course it would be nice to be able to display it, but until we finish furnishing that's not an option.

A very special day today. My beautiful daughter in law has had her final radiation treatment for breast cancer today. She was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year and has undergone surgery, chemo and radiation. Her treatment is finally done with today and we are celebrating. It's been a scary 2017 for us and we are looking forward to a healthy 2018.
None of us are immune from breast cancer.
1. Know what is normal for you.
2. Know what changes to look for.
3. Look and feel.
4. Tell your GP about changes straight away.
5. Go for regular breast screening.
The pink ribbon is an international symbol of breast cancer awareness.
Sadly cancer has touched the lives of most families.
