Revelation 20:1-3

New International Version

The Thousand Years

20 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.

Living on the edge - Morston.

Although I grew up in a working class area of a big city I find myself drawn to photograph the the coast and the junction of land, sea and sky. Mankind has been part of this landscape for thousands of years and we are now as much a part of it as the waves.

Taken at Morston, Norfolk, England. Looking east toward Blakeney with the salt marsh to the left.

Have you ever looked in my eyes?

I guess you didn't.

Because all the stories are inside my eyes.

A thousand words can't be tell, even with myself.

THANK YOU !

Third of my reflection theme series. These past few weeks have been incredibly rewarding in creating my reflection theme series. With this particular piece, I've been able to appreciate the serenity and grandeur of the moon, as it casts its enchanting spell on the night sky. Its power to transform the atmosphere into something mesmerizing is simply awe-inspiring.

Kalanchoe daigremontiana - it can "can propagate vegetatively from plantlets that develop on its leaf margins", hence the name. Also known as alligator plant, because the "plantlets" on the leaves look like teeth...

Time stands still

Beauty in all she is

I will be brave

I will not let anything take away

What's standing in front of me

Every breath, every hour has come to this

One step closer...

(An amazing version of James Arthur)

Hear what I hear

Kalanchoes have thick succulent leaves, often with notches where small plantlets arise. They are called livebearers because those tiny plantlets soon sprout roots, drop to the ground and begin separate lives nearby.

This plant fills in bare places around our home, offering color and texture. And plenty of plantlets to share with friends who admire them. They dry beautifully as well.

A THOUSAND FLOWERS... Strelitzia

Over the years I photographed thousands of flowers, with passion and joy, I never tire of them, hope you enjoy with me.

Another day, another composition.

Portrait of the Strelitzia reginae also called Bird of Paradise.

A stunningly beautiful flower, exotic, well to us, not in the countries where they grow naturally. I always say it, one man's exotic is another man's 'daily'... lol

Thanx, M, (*_*)

So many droplets after overnight rain

The water shimmered with a thousand suns,

and her gaze rested,

like everything was fine.

To memories,

to moments unspoken,

to a presence that never really left.

Two years ago, they were with many thousands / building a nest that measured one meter. // Today looked at the remnants, and thought / all this, for just one or two queens...

During our holidays in the very northern part of Germany we could study flocks of starlings gathing to find a place for the night. I've never seen that before and couldn't help thinking of Hitchcock's "The Birds". So impressive!

a thousand years the strong winds blew

from tiny seeds mighty forests grew

the winds of fate brought flash and thunder

giants fell and crashed asunder

from headland cliffs towering timbers fell

to ride Poseidon's tumultuous swells

a thousand years to ride the tides

to drift, to dream, to watch the sky's

a thousand years cast on the shore

dream on until you dream no more---

This is a quick self portrait image I took with my phone using Hipstamatic yesterday when I was pushing my husband in a wheelchair on our way out of the hospital as we waited for an elevator. My husband had a minor surgical procedure to have a port placed because he requires frequent IV medication for lung infections which he often does at home for at least two weeks due to having a heart/double lung transplant 31+ years ago, failing lungs, bronchiectasis. For me, there are at least a thousand words or more contained within this self portrait I took with my husband yesterday. It seems impossible to put into words all that I see in this image….after all the appointments, procedures, surgeries, hospitalizations, major medical emergencies that I feared my husband would not live through, sadness, hopefulness, miracles, provision, life, strength, sorrow, rejoicing, experiences beyond comprehension, my own severe struggles that intermingle with my husband’s health condition, complex situations, experiences that seem impossible to recover from, no easy fixes, a way of life that seems so different than how most people our age are living, an extreme pull to stop trying to survive and function, doing the impossible, a deep love for and connection with my husband and so many more things. This image really does hold a lot of personal meaning for me. I’m incredibly grateful for the gift of photography and how it allows me to have a unique “language” when it seems impossible to explain experiences and a way of life that feel impossible to accurately express with words, a way to try not to keep all this trapped inside where it grows and intensifies in harmful ways. I’m thankful for a way to try to express a thousand words.

2015 Monte Vista Sandhill Crane Festival, Monte Vista NWR, Colorado - I still have not seen all of the images I took while at this most recent Sandhill Crane Festival but I ran across this one today and feel that it conveys the awe one feels when seeing and hearing so many of these great birds in such a beautiful location ...

This nature is amazing................as the seed pods ripen and slowly open ,the puff seeds slowly comes out and the wind takes them and scatter to the distant lands...........

Ok, maybe not a thousand, but the Goose Lake Railroad runs in some of the most isolated regions of California and Oregon. The former SP Lakeview Branch runs from Alturas, CA to Lakeview OR, branching off the famous Modoc Line. Due to few industries on the line resulting in low income, this branch has seen several railroads running this track over the years, but Goose Lake seems to be doing fine as Lakeview gains more traffic and customers. Seen here, a northbound brings somewhere around twenty or thirty cars toward Lakeview at Surprise Station.

The night has a thousand eyes, And the day but one; Yet the light of the bright world dies, With the dying sun. The mind has a thousand eyes, And the heart but one; Yet the light of a whole life dies, When love is done.

NEW: "i love your work 99"

I just had to look up the symbolism of the American Eagle that Mr Trump is throttling the life out of.

It was supposed to represent the freedom, strength, pride, independence and authority(according to various sources) of the new nation when it was chosen as the National Symbol way back. Is it still true today?
