This kowhai tree flowers in late winter and the birds, especially tui, go crazy! I used to be able to sit at an open window and be in this tree with them (part of the house is elevated - being built on a slope) but our landlady has had the house double glazed, and while it's warmer inside by about 2C... now the window doesn't open. Things change... tho I wish it were different!
I'm still a slave to the birds... but spring is getting closer and soon I'll be back.
I'm grateful for the quiet company here...
thanks and well wishes to all :-)
The “scape_lands“ is a readymade-fotowork series developed since 2010.
The theme is the hermetical law of correspondence (we exist in all planes, astral as well as physical) I discovered the scape_lands in the urban environments, the streets of Berlin.

On the hot days Gerrie likes to go out and let his fur blow in the breeze.
Lucky him.
Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday
Oh my shadow, please come to the light
I would show you my world,
Oh my shadow, please come to the light
We could read newspaper together
Oh my shadow, please come to the light
We could watch the episodes of human beings
My world is held in as much excitement as confusion
What is my world, when compared to yours that
awaits you

A blustery day at the beach, the wind is blowing so strong, the sand is hitting and stinging your ankles. The water is rough, and difficult to maneuver around in, so what's the sense?
During a visit to Denmark, as we departed, I saw this wonderful sight. It was early morning, the sun was rising, the clouds were low, and in the distance you could see a ship, the Oresund bridge and the wind turbines, amazing!
Mother Nature, we believe in you
The sun was shining, no clouds
From the north, all the cold wind
I was walking on the ground
It was much surprise to see the flowers
In the spirit of fire and ice.
Small purple flowers, unexpected

Hitched a ride with the wind and since he was my friend
I just let him decide where we'd go

Wind River Range
Wyoming
The Wind River Range includes more than 40 named peaks over 13,000 feet, including Gannett Peak, Wyoming’s highest at 13,804 feet. Seven of the largest glaciers in the Rocky Mountains are found here, including the single largest glacier in the American Rockies. There are over 1,300 named lakes in the Wind River Range, and the headwaters of the Green River arise here. The Continental Divide crests the Wind River Range’s entire length.
This wilderness is a place to explore when you are young and have plenty of stamina. I was happy just to see the mountains from a distance.
Hope you are enjoying a beautiful weekend. Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for your kind comments, awards and faves -- I appreciate them all.

Hi there,
In this image you can see me standing on the continental divide at altitude 3700mtr or 12300ft
Tent was very near...as usual. How I am finding these places?
I am the one who seeks
Seeks inside myself and outdoors as well
So far I am more successful in finding awesome places in nature, not in myself
Gonna keep movin

Schooner Rose Dorothea, winner of the Fishermen´s Race in Massachusetts Bay in 1907. My colorization of an image in the Library of Congress archive (Detroit Publishing Co. collection). Nathaniel Livermore Stebbins was probably the photographer.
"One of the famed “Indian Head” schooners, the original Rose Dorothea was designed by Thomas McManus and built at the Tarr & James Shipyard in Essex, MA in 1905.She was 108.7 feet long, weighed 108 tons and had a crew of 26 men. Her rounded bow enabled her to sail closer into thewind, which made her faster than other schooners of the era. During Boston’s Old Home Week Celebration in August 1907, a cup was offered by Sir Thomas Lipton for a Fishermen’s Race in Massachusetts Bay.Two of the competing schooners were from Provincetown: the Rose Dorothea and the Jessie Costa. The race was a 42-mile course, laid from Thieves Ledge off Boston Light, to Davis Ledge off Minot’s Light, to Eastern Point, Gloucester and back to Boston. Despite losing her fore-topmast in the final leg of the race, the Rose Dorothea, captained by Marion Perry and skippered for the race by John Watson, won the Lipton Cup and a $650 cash prize. The Rose Dorothea brought the Lipton Cup back to Provincetown on August 1, 1907 to great fanfare; a broom symbolically tied to her mast indicated a “clean sweep.” No other race was ever sailed to place the Lipton Cup in contention. The men known to be crew members at the time of the race were: Antone Amaral, Isadore Jesse Fratus, Joseph R. Holmes, Willie Jason, Joseph Leal, Manuel Marshall, Thomas O’Donnell, Manuel Perry, AntonePrada, Eduardo Salvador, John PavonSantos, William Silva, Manuel Souza, Joseph “Iron Horse” Viera, and John Wilson. The other crew members are not known. In 1977, as a tribute to the great fishing schooner, construction began in the Heritage Museum, now the Provincetown Public Library. A half-scale replica of the Rose Dorothea was dedicated on June 25,1988. The completed model spans a 66'6" length and a 12'6" beam."

I listen to the wind
To the wind of my soul
Where I'll end up well I think,
Only God really knows
I've sat upon the setting sun
But never, never never never
I never wanted water once
No, never, never, never

Easily my favorite shot taken this week. Anna is so damn graceful, it hurts. It kind of looks like she's hooked a ride on a cloud, I think.

LOST SPRING:Love and Peace:
The seasons has lost its spring,
Just listento the birds as they sing.
Where are the flowers that are suppose to bloom,
Growing altogethermaking no room.
Where are the daffodils with trumpets a glow,
A Chilly wind when the north wind does blow.
We had winter with white snow on the ground,
Thewind whistles through the trees without a sound.
Hardly any colour in the sky,
Watching the birds fly so high.
They fly with their wings out wide,
Squrriels scurry and go and hide.
Underneath the pond is so green,
No frogs yet , they cannot be seen.
A shimmering silver path where the snails moving in the light,
Making arty pattens in the sight.
The wonders that we cannot cease,
Perhaps one day the world will be all love and peace.
