See me, feel me, touch me, heal me
Listening to you, I get the music
Gazing at you, I get the heat
Following you, I climb the mountain
I get excitement at your feet
Went to a party yesterday, along with 70,000 others.
And what a party that was!
the nights we spend apart alone
I need to get back home to cool, cool rain

There are two different types of people in the world, those who want to know, and those who want to believe

This old church hall in Battersea, south London. Saw the recording of some of the most iconic rock music ever recorded. This was 'Ramport Studios'. Bought by the 'WHO' in 1973, it was converted at great expense, into a state of the art studio, to record the album Quadrophenia.
A quad-ready 32-input wrap around Helios mixing console was installed. And the group also made use of Ronnie Lane's Mobile Studio as well.
The album 'Who Are You' was also recorded here.
In 1974, Supertramp recorded their album 'Crime of the Century' at Ramport.
Neil Young also recorded there in the 1970s. As did Chris de Burgh in 1975.
Other artists that recorded there were, Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers.
Joan Jet recorded several tracks here. Thin Lizzy recorded Jailbreak here, and came back to record Johnny the Fox too.
Judas Priest, recorded 'Sin after Sin' here in 1976-77.
In 1983 the studio was bought by Virgin Records. And was renamed 'Town House Three'. In 1995 the studio was closed by Virgin's new owners EMI.
It is now a Medical practice.

In 1939, the White Motor Coach Company made a short version of their coach for the San Francisco Muni so line #39 could traverse the narrow road leading up to Coit Tower...It was called "Baby White"...
This work is derived from the cover of the album Who's Next by The Who.
Original album cover art design credits: Idea by John Entwistle and Keith Moon. Photo by Ethan Russell. Album produced by The Who and Glyn Johns. Track, Decca 1971.

Thanks for the views, faves and comments much appreciated....
Here is the promised "non-Christmassy" version of the Berlin TV Tower framed by the Ferris wheel (please see first comment). Taken with the m.zuiko 25mm F/1.8. Another weird format, neither 1:1, nor any of the usual formats. I wanted to crop it to 1:1, but that took away too much of the night sky (which I think is needed as a balance) or would have left the TV Tower in an odd position. In the original 4:3 format the tower was sort of centered, but not quite, and there was a big metal strut of the Ferris wheel's construction in the left corner of the frame which I found distracting. Photoshop's content-based healing tool produced surprisingly good results when I tried to remove the strut, but it still looked unnatural, the motion-blurred circled light trails looked kind of topsy-turvy where precision work would have been necessary, and I couldn't get it right with the cloning brush, either, so all I could do was to crop it. I decided to go strictly for the rule of thirds as far as the TV tower is concerned which yielded this weird format :-)

J’avoue.

One I had to take at Classic Stony, being a massive Who fan back in the day. I even got to see them with the mercurial Keith Moon on stage - not sure my eardrums have ever recovered!
