Cover of 12" "What Difference Does it Make?" Released Jan, 1984. Morrissey posed for the cover with a glass of milk, to recreate an outtake from the film 'The Collector' (1965), starring Terrence Stamp. First printings of the 12" sleeve front did not bear the group's name, but was added to later printings.

My alternate BPC entry, Birdie as Morrissey, before realizing I had confused 'starlet' with 'diva.'

I'm not really one to admit defeat, but defeat. Defeat. I realized recently that I still have never made a trip to the Tag Cathedral so last Sunday I headed to Pier 70. And I could NOT find my way in. I enjoy trespassing and I like climbing fences, but there was nothing doing. No reasonable path, aside from when I almost waded through the mucky Bay water from Pier 66 before deciding that the M2 wouldn't really stand for a bath of that magnitude.

So what I'm saying is if you know how to get in, wanna take me with you? Pretty please?

I had to make do with the other stuff on Pier 70, which ended up being fine. Still trespassing. Still graffiti. Just no Cathedral.

This one was a decent consolation prize.

Now I realize that this song has been covered and covered and covered - including but not limited to The Dream Academy's shitty version that was in Ferris Bueller - and may not be a direct reference, but still. Smiths song. Abandoned building. This is heaven to me. Also, got to hop fences which is a daily goal of mine in life.

And I'm not even all that crazy about that particular song. I was just so amused.
