My husband and I and his dog hiked this trail a couple of days ago. It is an island you access by a bridge (not this one) and then the trail circles the entire island taking over an hour to walk the entire trail. There is much to see. Dense growth, ducks of all kinds on the water, beavers and many wild birds.

"Then she was terrified, and wanted to fling off the red shoes, but they clung fast; and she pulled down her stockings, but the shoes seemed to have grown to her feet. And she danced, and must dance, over fields and meadows, in rain and sunshine, by night and day; but at night it was the most fearful.
She danced over the churchyard, but the dead did not dance--they had something better to do than to dance. She wished to seat herself on a poor man's grave, where the bitter tansy grew; but for her there was neither peace nor rest; and when she danced towards the open church door, she saw an angel standing there. He wore long, white garments; he had wings which reached from his shoulders to the earth; his countenance was severe and grave; and in his hand he held a sword, broad and glittering.
"Dance shalt thou!" said he. "Dance in thy red shoes till thou art pale and cold! Till thy skin shrivels up and thou art a skeleton! Dance shalt thou from door to door, and where proud, vain children dwell, thou shalt knock, that they may hear thee and tremble! Dance shalt thou--!"
"Mercy!" cried Karen. But she did not hear the angel's reply, for the shoes carried her through the gate into the fields, across roads and bridges, and she must keep ever dancing."

….and then between 2 bushes we saw a male Blue Wildebeest slowly walking in the direction of an open area.
It was not aware of the Lioness nor of our jeep.
The Wildebeest was about 40 meters away from the Lioness and even closer to us when it noticed that it was not alone....
The Lioness immediately launched her attack bursting into full speed and the Wildebeest ran away turning in our direction.
This is the SECOND image of the series.
There was no time to change any settings ( or actually even to breath …. )

The same procedure every year. Two applications are required to fly a drone in Thailand. A kind of driving licence or personal licence from the CAAT and a specific drone licence from the NBTC. Both applications require a lot of paperwork, forms have to be filled out and uploaded, photos with serial numbers, entry documents, an insurance confirmation, a residence address. If all goes well, the application to the CAAT has already been approved before the trip and so the application can be submitted to the NBTC with the entry stamp on the day of arrival. Ideally, processing will take less than half a day and you will then be sent a transfer order. The fee is 224 baht including bank charges. In the end, you have two certificates that allow you to fly a drone legally. I wouldn't do it without the certificates, because if the worst comes to the worst, you are covered, especially in the event of an accident.
A wonderful scenery between Ao Nang and Railay, a special the view from above!

IR of the Siemensstadt station, part of the "Siemensbahn", which was a section of the Berlin S-Bahn. No trains have been running there since 1980, and the track and facilities have fallen into disrepair. The signal box has almost completely disappeared in the "forest" that has grown on the tracks since then.

I really like this shot but then I am not very happy with it. The Ibis that is on the right side is cut off. I wanted to show how many there was, but I can't get them all in frame. I guess I am going to have to try again. The other aspect of this image is the purple flowers\weeds. Not sure what they are. My wife calls them Florida Snow, because we always see them this time of year and it is everywhere in the park. I assume its a bud from the Saint Augustine Grass.
Happy Sunday, everyone! Hope it is filled with good things! My whole weekend has been fab, and I was thrilled to bits that I got to hang out with my beautiful friend, Rhiana. We shopped for dresses and birdies, and then decided to go exploring.
Somehow, we determined that our shortest dresses and highest heels would equate to the absolute perfect outfits for a hike through Luane's scenic, pretty sim! Before long we faced the reality that we were really only dressed appropriately for posing, but still a win ... photo memory!
Rhiana, I had such a blast! You and I have been friends for so long, and I can't believe we have taken three forevers to get a Flickrszzz together!! Yay for this!! Love you lots, beauty queen, and thank you so much for this time together, and for these birdies. So utterly adorable! Just like YOU!
Hugs to everyone! And happy new week ahead! ❤️💕

Well then let's start by taking a closer look at the sights of Dresden's old town.
It starts with our “bulky”, the famous Frauenkirche.
You can probably already imagine where this beautiful Protestant church got this nickname, which is not meant to be insulting but rather loving. Or ?
Correct, this enormous 24 meter high dome earned her that. This has a diameter of 26 meters and was built entirely out of sandstone. This means it weighs over 12,000 tons (just the dome) and is considered the largest stone dome north of the Alps.
The shape of the bell, which gave the church the nickname "stone bell", was not included in the original plans of the builder George Bähr. It was only during the construction work, which lasted from 1726 to 1743, that he decided to deviate from the classic dome shape for reasons of stability.
In the foreground, another architectural attraction of Dresden is in the picture: the Augustus Bridge. I'll try to see if I can stage these again separately and as a central motif.

Then there are days that are not really suitable for photography. A photo should be able to show these conditions clearly.

He calls me the devil
I make him wanna sin
Every time I knock, he can't help but let me in
Must be homesick for the real
I'm the realest it gets
You probably still adore me
With my hands around your neck
Can you feel the warmth, yeah
'Cause my kiss goes down you like some sweet alcohol
Where I'm coming from, yeah
Is a darker side of me that makes you feel so numb

My family lived in Panama for a couple years and I received the ring as a gift while there. It is compared with a Panamanian cinco centesimos 1968 coin. Macro Monday theme "smaller then a coin".
Happy Macro Monday!
With this colorful photo, which was deliberately taken with this motion blur, I wish you all a wonderful Poppy-Monday and of course the rest of the week.
We can see a lot of ourselves by looking at the poppy flowers and grasses moving back and forth in the summer wind.
As a rule, we too are firmly anchored to the earth, even if only because of our personal values. Each of us has something within us that is immovable. No matter what is happening around and no matter how much the wind of life pulls and shakes us. We shape these values ourselves. Based on the experiences we have in our lives. The strongest of them usually come from our childhood.
Most of the time, these roots serve our protection and stability. With them we are able to withstand even the harshest storms, to stand against the wind or, if necessary, to bend to it at times. Thanks to the anchor, we always stay where and who we are despite everything and are able to pick ourselves up again and again.
But sometimes we realize that our values, or rather the way we weight them, prevent us from developing ourselves. That we are trying to bloom in the wrong place, so to speak. Then it is up to us (because no one else can do this for us) to change our anchor point.
The key is always to be aware or make ourselves aware of what makes us flourish and what makes us wither.
And so I wish you all a stable and at the same time dynamic week. With lots of sun and fresh wind.

This little Warbler is truly very common to see. The birds we saw at the park were hanging around in the tall grasses of the marsh which made it a fun challenge to try to photograph them. We had to find a line of sight through the reeds to get a clear shot of them and then deal with a breeze that gently rocked the birds or waved another blade of grass in front of him again. With the breezes we sometimes had shadows come across the bird intermittently. Thankfully, we had a few days to keep going back to get it right. The front of this bird is quite noticeable with his yellow throat and masked eyes. If he shows his back, he’s not as quick to be noticed. But then he sings and there is not mistaking who he is. This was a good challenge and a real exercise in patience.
Then a break in the cloud for my 'target' location on this section of the route. Quality traction as well!
Looking for a girl friend.

SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS ALONE!
❤️❤️ IT'S ALL JESUS AND NONE OF OURSELVES! ❤️❤️
16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the SALVATION of everyone WHO BELIEVES: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel a RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM GOD IS REVEALED, a righteousness that is by FAITH FROM FIRST TO LAST, just as it is written: "THE RIGHTEOUS WILL LIVE BY FAITH." (Romans 1:16-17)
16 KNOW that a man is NOT justified by observing the law, but by FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be JUSTIFIED BY FAITH in CHRIST and NOT by observing the law, BECAUSE BY OBSERVING THE LAW NO ONE WILL BE JUSTIFIED. (Galatians 2:16)
1. Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2. BY THIS GOSPEL YOU ARE SAVED, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
3. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4. that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5. and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. 6. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8. and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
9. For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 11. Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed. (1 Corinthians 15:1-11)
7. Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9. I am the gate; whoever enters through me WILL BE SAVED. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10. The thief comes only to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY; I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL. (John 10:7-10)
Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus died that death for YOU and I. The good news is there no more punishment for sin left, we were and are all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

said she. Then she continued, with another two companions, searching for grubs on a group of old casuarina trees. This is how my visit started. After such a long absence I was overwhelmed by what I could watch and photograph. I captured 21 different species (saw and heard many more), amongst them several lovely families with chicks, cygnets and ducklings. Some birds were still building nests, some were patiently incubating.
What a show!
I did not mind this sensory overload at all.
