Macro Monday
Theme: Candy
Size: Less than 3x3 inches
I used mini M&M Smarties
( approx 9mm in diameter ) and some jelly beans in the background.
A small teaspoon with some honey is placed over a chipped Smartie with a drop of honey falling into the chipped area.
You can see this is the second attempt !
Natural side lighting from 3 o'clock and a small LED torch to illuminate the underside of the teaspoon.
Many thanks for your visit, comments and faves...it is always appreciated.

The theme for “Looking Close on Friday” for the 21st of January is “bubbles”. And what could be more deliciously fabulous than deliciously crisp French champagne in a champagne coupe? The champagne used for this photo was Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve from France, and the glass is a fine 1920s crystal champagne coupe, one of a pair, given to my partner and I as a gift by friends on our anniversary. I do hope that you like my choice, and that this photograph makes you smile! Cheers!
In the wild flamingos like to be in big flocks, so in captivity mirrors are provided to create an impression of a larger flock, and that is why flamingos like to spend more time closer to mirrors.

I really liked this theme, so I created two, very different photos. The leaf was the first that I took.
always so eager to start when I see the new MM theme and a lot of ideas too, than time is running out and suddenly no time left and just a shot done, but it's such fun anyway. Thanks for your visit and HMM!
Continuing the theme of "quirky Indiana", today's feature is this old Impala sitting on the top of a metal tower.
One may ask "why", and I don't have an answer. But this is (or was) part of a menagerie of unusual stuff that included a vintage motel sign, old railroad cars and junk trucks. All located at a train station that was converted into a seafood restaurant. The business has since closed and to my understanding most of this stuff have been removed from the property. I'm not sure if this car is still there or not!
Charlestown, Indiana
UPDATE: Unfortunately this car (and everything else) has been removed from the property as of 10/2021.

A view of Lake Te Anau as we left the glow worm caves in a fast ferry boat. No photos allowed inside the caves but it was like looking up at a starry sky just a short distance from our faces in pitch black darkness. Our guide was silently pulling our small boat through the darkness somehow avoiding the walls of the cave and the other boat we knew went out into the cave lake before us.
Thanks for visiting and I look forward to comments!

I've seen a lot of Flickr friends post in the 'Smile on Saturday' group so I thought I'd join in on the fun. This was taken in my garden using an extension tube on an old Pentacon 50mm lens. I don't know why but the first thing that came to mind when I saw it on my computer was the monster in the Alien films - all those teeth ready to explode out of that flower head!

The History of Green Tea
The history of green tea dates back over 4,000 years to China, where it is considered a precious beverage and a symbol of harmony between man and nature. After developing in China, green tea spread throughout Asia and the rest of the world.
Green tea gets its name from the preparation method used to prevent the tea leaves from undergoing excessive oxidation. Typically, the leaves are hand-picked and then quickly heated to stop the oxidation process. This is what keeps their natural green color and preserves the health benefits of green tea.
