Waitematā Harbour is the main access by sea to Auckland, New Zealand. For this reason it is often referred to as Auckland Harbour and is crossed by the Auckland Harbour Bridge, despite the fact that it is one of two harbours surrounding the city. The Waitematā forms the north and east coasts of the Auckland isthmus. It is matched on the south by the shallower waters of Manukau Harbour.

Well, finally we got a bit of sun here in the south-west of England as well so I don't really need those sunny holiday photos to give me that holiday feeling (but I don't have anything new to show so I still have to dig into the shots I took during our holiday). This photo was taken at the Praia da Oura in Albufeira, the place at the Algarve we stayed at a few weeks back.

This is another wonderful place the Nicole (Escaping Reality) took me to on Friday. This is in Sewanee, TN. There were several small cascades and waterfalls on this stream. A really incredible place.

After hiking back out of there, I know why they call it "Steep." :-)
