This 52' Trinity gondola was built for Mexico's Transportación Ferroviaria Mexicana (Mexican Railway Transport) in 1999, and it still carries the railroad's logos more than 25 years later.
TFM was founded in 1996 as a joint venture between KCS and TMM (Transportación Marítima Mexicana) after the companies won a concession to operate Mexico's Northeast Railroad. In 2005, KCS bought full control of TFM and it was renamed to KCS de Mexico (KCSM). It has since become part of CPKC.
