Sunrise from Cades Cove in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Unfortunately, this loop road is not opened until the actual sunrise, so this was the first pull-out where I thought I might capture a compelling image before the sun was too high in the sky.
First time I've had the opportunity to photograph this cute little bird. Take at the Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville Alabama.
I really got a lot of shots I like of these guys this fall-- it seemed like they were everywhere. Another backyard pic.
Spring in Great Smoky Mountains National Park brings brilliant colors, with deep green forests and bright pink and white mountain laurel.
As we celebrate Earth Day, I thought this image captured simply the beauty of nature without the distractions of man.

A more apt name for this species might be the "Coffee Warbler" since it often over-winters in coffee plantations in Latin America
Creating fall warbler compositions is much more challenging than spring work. This image was taken in a friends' yard. They use fruit to help attract fall warblers to their yard. By strategically placing this perch in their beautiful garden this image became a possibility.
