The Michigan State Police (MSP) Underwater Recovery Unit is training with Michigan Tech's Great Lakes Research Center staff this week. The GLRC is providing advanced underwater sonar training and teaching advanced search and recovery techniques. The GLRC and the MSP use some of the same advanced underwater tools.
MSP divers will be helping the GLRC recover the damaged North Entry Buoy mooring this week, too.
