Vielleicht wie dieser 12 km Abschnitt hier den ich zum Gipfel des Bjelasnica befahren habe (oh, die Hälfte hochgeschoben ;-)). Das war der CP4 des letztjährigen TCRNo6.

Hi there - can’t wait till it’s summer again and I’m out on the road from A to B with some wiggly terrain in between. Like here on the Col de la Bonette. This was on last years Three Peaks Bike Race from Vienna to Nice. Really looking forward to this years edition. It’s with mixed feelings that I look upon not having had luck with my application for #TCRno7. Really sad panda here. But I would have been also quite unhappy with not riding the second edition of the #TPBR. Since I really also always wanted to visit northern spain with my bike. Well - now I can! And the coming edition looks very competitive, indeed. Last years inaugural edition featured just 15 participants. This year I’m already looking at around 80 or more. Wow, can’t wait!

Hallo da - ich kann's nicht erwarten, bis es wieder Sommer ist und ich auf der Straße von A nach B mit etwas zappeligen Terrain dazwischen bin. Wie hier am Col de la Bonette. Da war ich im Rahmen des letztjährigen Three Peaks Bike Race von Wien nach Nizza. Ich freue mich schon auf die diesjährige Austragung. Mit einem lachenden und einen weinenden Auge schaue ich auf das Ergebnis der Startplatz-Zuteilung für das #TCRNo7. Wirklich sehr traurig, dass es hier nicht für einen dritten Startplatz gelangt hat. Aber ich wäre auch nicht froh gewesen, das zweite #TPBR zu verpassen. Denn ich wollte schon immer mal nach Nordspanien mit dem Rad. Nun - jetzt kann ich es! Und die kommende Austragung schaut sehr umkämpft aus. Bei der Erstaustragung waren es nur 15 Teilnehmer. Jetzt schaue ich schon auf über 80. Wow - kann's kaum abwarten!

Time to REFLECT. :) What an awesome experience the Transcontinental Race was. Finally Meteora for me this year! And what a gorgeous destination this proved to be. Here I was sitting amongst the rocks and the monasteries a few days after finishing the race and still taking it all in.

Oh and look how I was already complying at least for the bicycle part a bit with the newly emphasized visibility regulations for #TCRNo7.

I submitted my application for it yesterday and would love to be again a part of this amazing family of riders sharing the multifaceted mutual experience of racing unsupported across the Continent. Next year from coast to coast. The direction will be unfamiliar but the experience can be expected to be as great as ever.

Zeit, um zu reflektieren. :) Was für eine umwerfende Erfahrung war das Transcontinental Race. Endlich am Ziel Meteora für mich angelangt, dieses Jahr! Und was für ein tolles Ziel dies war. Hier saß ich nun zwischen den Felsen und Klöstern ein paar Tage nach der Zielankunft und war immer noch alles in mir aufnehmend.

Oh - und schaut mal wie ich schon in diesem Jahr den neu betonten Sichtbarkeits-Regularien für das nächstjährige #TCRNo7 entspreche. Zumindest in Teilen für das Rad.

Ich habe meine Bewerbung für das TCRNo7 gestern eingereicht und wäre zutiefst erfreut wenn ich wieder Teil dieser tollen Familie von Teilnehmern sein könnte, die diese vielfacettierte gemeinsame Erfahrung des Selbstversorger-Rennens quer durch den Kontinent teilen. Nächstes Jahr von Küste zu Küste. Die Richtung wird ungewohnt aber die Erfahrung verspricht so genial wie immer zu werden.
