Giddha (Punjabi: ਗਿੱਧਾ, giddhā) is a popular folk dance of women in Punjab region of India and Pakistan. The dance is derived from the ancient ring dance and is just as energetic as Bhangra and at the same time it manages to creatively display feminine grace, elegance and elasticity

This time they crossed the pass, descended into the unexplored West Debsa Glacier and followed the Debsa river down to the Parahio river and thence to the roadhead at Guling. The Parahio is a tributary of the Spiti river.

The Debsa Pass provides an easier and shorter alternative to the traditional Pin-Parbati Pass route between Kullu and Spiti, and has thus become popular. It saves at least two to three days over the latter route.

4th of July parade in Kailua, Hawaii. These boys had been melting in the heat and growing tired of the endless stream of politicians and teen beauty queens. When I told my son that a group of veterans were coming he jumped up. He and these other boys were in awe. Later, when telling his dad about the parade the first thing my son said was "Dad, I saw veterans!" He has been reading a lot of WW II books lately.

The Parliament of India (or Sansad) is the federal and supreme legislative body of India. It consists of two houses – the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. It is located in New Delhi at Sansad Marg. Any bill can become an act only after it is passed by both the houses of the Parliament and assented by the President. The Central Hall of the Parliament is used for combined sittings of the lower and upper houses and is of historical significance. The Parliament House (Sansad Bhavan) is a circular building designed by the British architect Herbert Baker in 1912–13. The roof of the outer circle of the structure is supported by 257 granite pillars. The Houses are located on Janpath, a stone's throw away from the presidential palace (Rashtrapati Bhavan).

In the past, Summer Hill has offered residence to Mahatma Gandhi, who stayed here the Gerogian mansion of Rajkumari Amrit Kaur [3] during his Shimla visits [4]. Also known as the Potter's Hill [3], these pine and deodar ladden slopes have many quaint residences, like one belonging to the family of noted painter Amrita Shergil [5] (1913-1941).
