Surrounded by national forest at 9300 feet, Taylor Park Reservoir is a gorgeous area for mountain views and outdoor activities. It’s located about 13 miles northeast of Almont in Gunnison County Colorado.

This is a picture I took a few years ago of Harlaxton Manor. You may recognise this place for it's appearance in a number of films, more famously for the remake of the Haunting Starring Liam Neeson, Lili Taylor, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Owen Wilson. I have never been into the grounds or the house itself as it doesn't seem to be open to the public very often. However there are a few open days throughout the Summer Holidays and I only work a few miles away, so I may be tempted to visit soon.

Taylor Creek is a 2.2-mile-long stream originating in Fallen Leaf Lake and terminating at Lake Tahoe's Baldwin Beach.

Taylor Reef was an ideal anchorage just 250m from a 140m long sand cay that remains exposed at high tide. Perhaps it would wash over in a big storm, but that didn’t bother the thousand marine birds who appeared to be enjoying something solid to rest on. A few of the masked Boobies had laid eggs and a lone turtle 🐢 may well have been the first to start a new nesting ground. The coral around the reefs fringes was a little sparse but with plenty of fish life. Some delightful coral in just a few meters depth near the cay made for easy snorkeling and this fun under/ over photo opportunity :)

Taylors Lagoon Beach, larapuna, Bay of Fires, Tasmania. Have had a lot of success here at Taylors. Lots to like in the rocks and beach. Nearly always contre jour with good cloud to the north over Banks Strait as well.

Taylor Castle was a four storey 16th century tower house which was formerly known as Ballymcgrath.
The Taylor family later settled in the castle from the 17th century.
The castle was inhabited up to the 1930’s where it has since fell to ruin and disrepair.

This is a photo of Taylor THE HAWK. I made a series of portraits of this beautiful bird while on vacation in Punta Mita back in 2019. I did not pick the name of the bird, the bird's owner did.
The BIRD's NAME is Taylor and this series of portraits should not be confused with ANY OTHER PERSON who happens to be named Taylor no matter what delusional paranoia those who see this photo might want to believe. If you take a photo of a bird named Taylor, it's ok to title your photo of the said bird, well, its name, Taylor. In fact anyone can name any photo they want anything without it having to mean anything sinister or otherwise.
By the way, here is an photo by somebody else (not me) talking about this beautiful bird TAYLOR who keeps the seagulls away at the Four Seasons Resort in Punta Mita where I went in 2019 when I took this series of portraits.

Ridiculous to have to go to these levels of extremes when writing my photo descriptions, but alas, such is the case sometimes.
Hopefully this is not something that is too difficult for certain people to comprehend.
Also, I took a LOT of photos of this particular bird. I've published many of them already, but there are still going to be many more that show up in my photo feed over the remainder of my life as I use a randomizer app which pulls about 100 photos a day at random out of about 360,000 photos that are awaiting upload to Flickr. Photos that I finished and titled in many cases YEARS ago. As photos from this shoot (which were all titled "Taylor" after the bird's name, how I titled the photos back in 2019) are uploaded in the future, every one of them, should be viewed as a reference to this beautiful bird's name that I photographed on my vacation in 2019 and nothing more than that.
Hopefully this lengthy disclaimer is sufficient to address any concerns about my titling this photo of a bird named Taylor, well, its name, Taylor.
It's been nearly 100 years since the glory days of logging in the Taylor River area, and many large trees have grown since logging stopped in the 1940s. All that's left of the original old-growth forest are scattered massive rotting logs, and a few tough survivors that stayed upright, like this one.

I can't believe how the years have flown by. This big guy with the beautiful Mustang is Taylor Golding, and I was his Cub Scout Den leader when he was just a little kid! He was sure proud of his beautiful Ford at the Montpelier, Idaho car show. The car next to his is another Mustang owned by Taylor's father, Don, who was the co-Den leader with me for three years. We had a great time with those kids and still get together occasionally.
