Louie, with Loops, Belgian wall art tapestry is one of many in the "Lady and the Unicorn" series. On this tapestry, the lady plays a positive organ on top of a table covered with a Turkish rug. Her maidservant stands to the opposite side and holds the organ in place. The lion and unicorn once again frame the scene holding up the pennants, but in this scene, their positions are reversed so that they are inside the frame, and each is on the opposite side of the lady that they are on in all the other tapestries.

My somewhat bizarre tapestry is my take on an underwater world. (Of course, Owen decided they looked more like sperm than fishes ... which would be an even more unusual subject for a tapestry.)

Stuart Crest 2 is a Belgian impressionist tapestry cushion cover piece inspired by the official final crest of The House of Stuart. The family name was originally Stewart or in Gaelic, Stiubhard, but was changed by Mary I, Queen of Scots due to her French upbringing and nobility as Queen to both France and Scotland. She had rightful claim to the throne of England but contended with Queen Elizabeth I, who imprisoned her for 19 years due to conspiracy to assassinate the British monarch. Elizabeth had her executed at the age of 44. Upon Elizabeth's death Mary's son James I succeeded her throne to England. Stuart Crest 2 is jacquard woven, the backed lining is of a plush velvet with an invisible zipper closure that allows easy placement and removal of cushion inserts. This ornate decorative pillow not only adds an immaculate beauty to your home decor motif, it also brings the fascinating tale of medieval history.
