Well named waterfall right off the Icefields Parkway in Jasper National Park. Flow was low when here in October but really roars in the spring.

A walk along the frozen Ottawa river, produced a lot of minimal type images for me, the deep snow and low temperatures were a challenge but enjoyable at the same time.

From this shooting perspective, it looked like a complicated tangle of outriggers on the moored Fishing Vessels.
Gulf of Georgia Cannery
Built in 1894, the cannery echoes the days when it was the leading producer of canned salmon in British Columbia. Today it is a museum with interactive exhibits, film, and tours that demonstrate the Cannery's important role in the history of Canada's West Coast fishing industry.

Tangle Creek is along the Icefields Parkway in Banff National Park. It was an easy 5 minute scramble to get here from the parking area.

It surely seems to be in a very difficult - even hopeless - situation, this tree in the woods round Beisbroek, Flanders. I suppose it must have been the victim of a storm.
We passed it on our walk from Beisbroek, a castle that is now a museum and observatory, to Tudor Castle (see my previous photos). The walk is signposted as 'The Heath Walk'.
The young tree next to it is giving hope for the future.
