Campos de arroz muy verdes siempre con estas montañas llenas de vegetación, un paisaje muy habitual en la zona de Tam Coc. Toda esta zona es una maravilla para la vista.
Very green rice fields always with these mountains full of vegetation, a very common landscape in the Tam Coc area. This entire area is a wonder to behold.

Kala are particularly prominent in the lintels of the temple. They are the best available aid in dating the structure, but the mix of styles (Khleang and Baphuon) makes accurate dating impossible. Several of the lintels on the outer gopuras are unfinished.
A small probably contemporaneous with the temple, lay to the east, while a later, larger baray survives further north between Mueang Tam and Phanom Rung.

I met Tam on a very cold and crisp morning on Cockenzie village's coastal path (Scotland) just after sunrise. He saw me with my camera, came to me with a big smile and we started a really interesting and open conversation about our appreciation for the beauty of nature, music and about life itself.
I've found out a bit about his early life as well; he was growing up as the second youngest child out of 13 siblings, and when he was a child and saw his older brothers drinking, Tam had decided that no matter what, he will be different from them.
So he started working hard and earn money from an early age and has had many jobs throughout his life, from working on farms to upkeeping and guarding empty hotels, from driving trucks across Scotland to painting and decorating houses. He is nearly seventy now, but he is not planning to stop working anytime soon.
He said, from all the money he saved up staying away from drinking, he went backpacking all around Europe and saw all his favourite bands performing live in the 70's and 80's which memories he will never forget.
He is also a proud father of his 13 years old son, who has just bought himself his own boat and an engine from his work to go out to the sea and do fishing as a passion.
Tam struck me as a man who radiates strength, kindness, and who walks his own path with open eyes.

Como curiosidad, veréis que normalmente son mujeres quienes dirigen estos botes y que, en muchos casos, reman con los pies, un método tradicional que les permitía controlar el bote disponiendo de libertad en las manos.

John Tams was born in Stafford Street, Longton in 1837. In around 1865, John Tams entered into partnership with William Lowe, manufacturing in St. Gregory's Pottery, High Street, Longton. In 1873 this partnership was dissolved and in 1874 John Tams bought the Crown pottery, on the corner of Commerce Street and High Street in Longton. At first he specialised in the manufacture of imperial measured ware, mugs, jugs, etc., for hotels and public houses. The increasing use of glass and further government regulations forced him to develop new lines of production, including ornamental and general earthenware. The company continued to trade until Feb 2000 when it became Tams Group Ltd.
