Horbury Junction 9-3-95 I'd left the Peak District for a reason I cannot remember and as I went over Horbury Junction on the M1, I saw a 37 go underneath on a ballast train. That's one I've missed, I thought. Fortunately only 40 minutes later 47294 passed on a loaded ballast for Healey Mills Yard. Horbury Junction signalbox can be seen above the Class 47's roof.

Offensichtlich Spaß an der Arbeit hat der Fahrer dieses Zuges. Ob es an dem noch originalen T3 liegt? Zu dieser Zeit allerdings noch häufig anzutreffen.
I've a fair bit of catching up to do with photographs from recent trips, the latest being to Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Both countries are very enjoyable from a transport perspective, and while my main interest will always be the trains, I can't help but also be drawn in by the tram systems of the cities I visit.
The Tatra T3 is synonymous with this region, and is indeed the most produced tram worldwide with more than 13,000 motorised vehicles and several more trailers produced by ČKD / Tatra in the former Czechoslovakia.
While more modern trams are now more prominent in many cities, it is still easy to find the T3 in good numbers, especially in Prague where the type is still the reliable workhorse of the fleet.
T3 8429 is seen here approaching the 'Bohemians' stop in the Vršovice district of the city with a number 7 service to Radlická.
