For Throwback Thursday. This picture of me wearing a Chicago radio station T-Shirt was taken in December, 1982 at my Dad’s house in Winnebago, Illinois. This was during my first leave from the Air Force.

Earlier today (January 21, 2019), there was a lunar eclipse. But it didn’t look like this. This is a funny T-Shirt about the 1980s song “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler. I saw this at Target recently.

In weights descending from Ultra Black 95 to Ultra Light 25, Max Miedinger's redesign of his own 1957 classic has never been so fashionable. Comes in black for now. As if designers need another color.
Aimed at designers and typophiles and anyone else with an eye for fine typography. Thanks to Jeffrey Zeldman for launching it into the cybersphere. Shortly thereafter Josh Spear posted it on his great design blog. www.newsdesigner.com/archives/002892.php was next and within a couple of days the esteemed typography hub
I Love Typography started sending a great deal of traffic our way.
It's been a joy sharing this with my fellow designers around the world. In just one month people were wearing this in 15 countries.
A customer recently sent a note that made my day:

I ordered a tee shirt on the 24th for my daughter, a graphic designer and type aficionado. She got it today, on her birthday, on her way to dinner with friends, after which they will be watching Helvetica.

I bought this T-Shirt for my husband at a garage sale. This is from Southwest Airlines. People make jokes about Southwest Airlines being crowded, but I've never had a problem with them. At least they haven't been in the news lately for treating passengers badly. That is more than some other airlines can say. First, there was an incident of a doctor being thrown off a United flight, and then I read about a flight attendant grabbing a stroller on an American Airlines flight.
