Its been non-stop shooting for the past week or so, this was a reshoot of something that didnt work before. Different model, different stylist, same killer make-up lady. Its a change up for me I think y'all may hate it but I have slowly come round to liking this one a lot. A lot...... Its odd how it can often take a week until you know you have the image you need, sometimes you have to look at it every day, sometimes just ignore it and go back to it later. Some images need time to mature I guess. (oh and sally here turned 22 yesterday- I will post her birthday polaroid pic sometime soon).

For Throwback Thursday. This picture of me wearing a Chicago radio station T-Shirt was taken in December, 1982 at my Dad’s house in Winnebago, Illinois. This was during my first leave from the Air Force.
Over the past few years I have been printing my photos and hanging them in my home, but I am running out of room. So, I have recently begun putting some of my portraits on t-shirts. This is one of my latest orders.
Waste and Recycling Workers Week Is the Week of June 17
Emmet and George McSweeney greet each other as they pass on their routes, but they admit that their awkward timing can make for a crowded street, especially on this narrow street in Lego City.
During this special week of celebration for Waste and Recycling Workers Week, we join together to thank the women and men who work daily to keep our neighborhoods and streets safe and clean!
Join us the week of June 17th, and all throughout the year, to celebrate these hard-working women and men!
All year, the men and women of the waste management industry are hard at work collecting, processing, filtering, and recycling over 250 million tons of garbage. They do this to keep our environment clean and our communities safe. The week of June 17th is our time to come together and collectively show our appreciation.
Why do we celebrate all week?
We encourage the week-long celebration so everyone can show their appreciation on the specific day of their garbage collection service. If it were up to us every day would be Waste and Recycling Workers Week, but until that catches on we’ll stick with our week of sanitation appreciation.
Get Involved
We have several ideas to help spark your own creative way to show your appreciation. From handwritten notes to delivering baked goodies or a simple phone call, there are tons of great ways to say “Thank You”. You can also order a Waste and Recycling Workers Week T-Shirt or downloadable Thank You Cards to show your support!
During the year, you can set out your recyclables or garbage the evening before your day of pick up. That way, you won’t be missed if they change their route and come earlier.
Also, be sure that your recyclables and garbage is safe for someone else to handle. Their time and safety is important, so making sure your trash will conform to their pick up requirements will speed up their route. Bags should not have holes that would cause something to leak out and mess up the pavement, causing a hazard to someone else.
And on windy days, make sure you round up your empty trash and recycle bins so they won’t roll around in the street. You can be the ‘good neighbor’ and take someone else’s bins close to their house if they are not home.

The Commander's Palace, by its own account is an upscale higher end restaurant located at 1403 Washington Ave. directly across the street from the famed Lafayette Cemetery in New Orleans Garden District.
My son Curtis and I stopped in for lunch after touring the cemetery, but were turned away because our daytime dress was not formal enough, go figure huh. We only wanted a quick lunch but It was just as well I guess, because I later learned that tid bits for lunch start at $16.00 and I had a hungry teenager with me..:-))
